HELP with AOS Question

We are filling up the form for AOS and there is a question that is completely confusing us. Reason being is that my fiance used to work for the Bahrain defense military hospital as civilian employee (executive assistant in the Pathology & Diagnostic Dept). Here is the question:

1) Have you EVER: Served in, been a member of, assisted in, or participated in any military unit, paramilitary unit, self-defense unit, vigilante, rebel group, guerrilla group, militia or insurgent organization? Yes or No

2) Have you EVER been a member of, assisted in, or participated in,any group, unit, or organization of any kind in which you or other persons used any type of weapon against any person or threatened to do so? Yes or No

WHAT SHOULD BE HER ANSWER? PLEASE ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.. ASAP..

You should answer this honestly. In this case, I would think yes - she was somehow affiliated with a military group. Then you attach the explanation for the yes answer.

For all of these government forms, you must interpret literally and answer truthfully. It's not a trick question.
