Hi everyone, I was wondering how long do I have to wait to receive biometrics appointment letter?. My NOA1 date is 4/19, case last touched 4/22. I see that most receive it a few days after NOA1. 2 weeks for me and no letter yet. Should I worry?

My Immigration Journey:

K1: June 2010 - December 2010

AOS: April 2011 - June 2011

ROC: April 2013 - August 2013

Naturalization: March 2014 - August 2014

Good to know I'm not the only one still waiting! Even people that filed after us received biometrics appt already so I'm kinda worried it got lost in the mail or something. :( I called USCIS today but they told me to call back if I don't receive it in 30 days from NOA.

You can check the status of your case at USCIS.gov using your receipt number. It should at least tell you if you should have your biometrics appointment by now.

We hired a lawyer so I usually ask him of any updates.

BTW, I'm in California as well... Maybe there's a huge queue for our state?

Wait at least 30 days. You can place a service request after that.

It all depends on your local office. Where are you located? People in Dallas, TX have been waiting months for theirs. It took 40 days for my husband's letter to come, for appointment in Alexandria, VA.

I'm the USC petitioner.

My status on USCIS website says "Initial review". Does it change when they send biometrics appointment notice?

My local office is Los Angeles, CA. I checked similar timelines and noticed that a few people that filed at that office in April already got theirs.

I'll just say no. I did some searching and some applications still show the same notice as mine from the first week of April. When was your case last updated though?

I may also note that the NOA1 mail wasn't exactly fast in my case. They made the letter in 4/21, received it a week later, then the case was last "touched" in 4/25. My lawyer said that things are smooth so far. (though my case is quite an odd ball, we've been married for 5 years now and only decided to send the application this year)
