"CNN Pipeline presents CNN’s original TV coverage of 9/11/2001 free, in real time. Starting @ 8:30AM. Watch Monday"

Interesting? Is this a way of commemorating it? To just show the coverage over again?

Good idea on their part I think... I'd like to see what they were thinking the second it hapenned again.

I wonder if people are scared of 9/11 this year rolling around here in a couple of day? Hopefully the day will pass by just fine...

I was thinking the same thing, I was locked away in my studio doing work on a class project, and didn't hear about anything bad happening until the afternoon. I'll be interested to see it unfold in real time, and see the confusion.

Doesn't seem like an appropriate commemoration to me. We've seen the coverage dozens of times over, it's not like we will forget.

What I'm hoping for is "regular" traffic pattern that day (2006-9-11).

On original 9-11, I remember that Crystal City roads were a PARKING LOT till at least 1:00 pm (I walked outside a couple of times); as well, having to use a rather twisted route to get home (which took over 90 minutes).

Yes, CNN Pipeline is a subscription service online which they will open up for free on Monday.

I aplogize for not clarifying in the Topic subject.

:star: Cass (bebop the great)

Also people note it's not being broadcast on a TV channel, but a on-line subscription service.

Where it's being broadcast frames the conversation. It would produce a lot more attention if it were to be on the main CNN channel, rather than a subscriber only service.

i agreee

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Was that what you were worried about on 9/11/01? 3,000 souls perished and you remember that it took you 90 minutes to get home? Are you for real? Must be nice in your bubble...

I am beginning to think people think of this day as a bad day every year, I work for a law office and I was scheduling an appt today for a client, she said let's make it monday the 11th and i started making the appt and she said wait, oh no, not that day, we have to make it the following monday, the 18th, I can't come on September the 11th, that just gives me the creeps. Mind you we are in Florida, not anywhere near NY City, and she probably will not set foot out of her house that entire day. She was really scared to come in that day.

Yeah, must be pretty sweet in that bubble. I remember watching the buildings FALL DOWN outside my window, just over a mile away. I remember years of PTSD, still to this day. I can barely talk about it.

But then again, I doubt anyone not living in NYC or DC will ever grasp how huge it was.

I visited in 2003 and was only able to see the cleaned up aftermath.. I couldn't even fathom what it would be like to be there in 2001.

Well, I stayed at the WTC Marriott (remember, the hotel that was neatly sqeezed between the towers?) just the weekend before 9/11. I departed EWR on 9/9/01. The gal I was seeing at the time worked right across the street from the South Tower in the still condemned DB building that is supposed to be torn down. She was on her way into the office that morning and we were on the phone as this happened. Her cell phone line went dead all of a sudden. Next thing I know, someone yelling that something hit the WTC. I tried like crazy but wasn't able to get a hold of her until a day later. She tried to call and I got her number on my caller ID at least in the evening on 9/11 which let me know she was alive. It was the most horrible thing - even watching it from 1,000 miles away. But I agree, that it must have been 1000 times worse and more intense for those living in NYC and DC.
