Hi guys,

I tried searching for this information on the forum but couldn't find anything; apologies if I missed a previous question for this.

Unfortunately I'm still far from getting my NOA2 (although VSC seems to finally be doing some catching up) but I am trying to get as organized as possible now to make it as smooth a process as possible when it comes to the consulate side of things.

My first question: On the London Embassy page http://london.usembassy.gov/kprocessing.html it says "Before returning Form IV-15K, to the Immigrant Visa Unit, you are required to assemble all of the documents required in support of your application." - I have found all the other documents but can't find the IV-15K and have a nagging suspicion that it might be the only thing they send out as "Package 3"; would anyone be sweet enough to confirm?

Second question: DS-156 says you have to press "continue" before the form can be printed and I don't want to submit anything before we're there but I would be interested to find out if there are any further nasty surprises hiding after the "continue" (asking for travel itinerary for 10+ years seems pretty harsh) or if it just adds a barcode and if I have everything filled in on the page that I can see before the "continue" I have all the info I need?

Thank you in advance for your help!

IV-15 is the old "checklist" for readiness and they don't use that anymore. Now it's DS-2001. Packet 3 isn't even a packet anymore. Here's where you should get your information and forms. http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

Don't be afraid to click "continue". Nothing is submitted electronically. It generates a barcode, but you have to print the form (with its barcode) and mail it in.

Thanks Nick :)

I was just feeling insecure because on the page "before" on the embassy website it still refers to IV-15 - they must not have updated it properly then.

And thanks for the re-assurance about DS-156, now I can print off all the forms and mark the fields that still need more information gathering before I'm officially ready :)
