Question:

K1 and K2 filing joint.

The site says:

"Filing Fee :

$985. (Add $85 biometric fee for a total of $1070, where applicable. See the form instructions for payment details.)

There are exceptions in which the applicant is not required to pay the entire $1070:

For applicants under 14 years of age:

Filing with the I-485 application of at least one parent have a fee total of $635;

Not filing with the I-485 application of at least one parent have a fee total of $985."

When I add this up I get $1705.00

My check was for $1705.00

What did I do wrong?

I am not sure how old your child is but when they say 14 thats when a added $85 for Biometrics is added, so up to the age of 13 years and 364 days no biometric fee.

I have a link to a forum K-2 AOS, it may help you and nearly everyone in there has done K-2' AOS with different age groups

AOS:

Green Card APPROVAL for wife and stepson 02/10/2011

Revd'd Green Cards for wife and stepson today 02/19/2011

My timeline gives all the information
