Anyone else get nervous at the last minute?

I love my husband and have anxiously awaited his getting his visa so that we could be together again. We lived together for six months and it was wonderful. But now, after being apart for so long, and with our expecting him to have his visa this month, I am scared to death! The emotional, illogical side of me worries about whether this will work out. If I calm down and think rationally, there is no reason to think that it won't - but I still worry! Did anyone else get nervous when it came close to having your fiance/spouse with you again? I feel like such a heel for feeling this way. I know I love him and that we've always been very happy together. I don't understand why I feel this way.

The way to find out if you love someone or not, is by talking to them.

The more you talk to them the more you either hate them or love them.

I get scared. We've never lived together or spent more than 10 days together. And lately we've been fighting about stupid things, and it occurred to me that I don't like the way he fights!

So yeah. nervous. I have no idea how the 24/7 thing will pan out.. especially with me being unemployed, which is a stressor at the best of times.

It doesn't mean I don't believe it will turn out well and I am also excited and can't wait to finally be with him all the time. But I am not quitting my job in Canada... just in case. I don't have to, so why not keep it for the 3 months.

I think nervousness is natural... it's a huge, life changing step. Living together for a period of time and making that final step to be with each other for the rest of your lives are two different things.

Cut yourself a break and maybe even bring up these feelings with your husband. He may even have some of the same feelings.

To me, it doesn't mean there isn't confidence in the relationship.

Getting nervous is normal. Both my husband and I were extremely nervous during our wedding even though we'd lived together for 2 years at that point. And last year, when I finally got my visa, I was nervous as hell about moving together again. But it's all fine.

So, don't worry too much about being nervous. I would be more concerned if you weren't.

I was going to mention something about that but changed my mind  We had spent a lot of time together so i knew what I was getting into and felt no need to be scared or nervous

I was nervous when I was going to first meet him though.... I starting getting nervous as the plane was landing up until I saw him.....

I second that... This entire process takes a lot of you. I'm sure if psychologist conducted a study, they would find some traumatic results. Good luck and keep the faith.

Cheers!
