Affidavit of Support - working/travelling outside USA for over 3 years

I've been out of the USA for 3 1/2 years... the last 6 months I have been un-employed because I am in Brazil with my fiance who is supporting me. I've been on tourist visas, so I'm not able to work here. Before Brazil, I was in NZ for 3 years but only worked part-time. I'm moving back to the USA in 2 weeks, but will be 7months pregnant so I won't be working until several months after the baby is born. Meanwhile - my fiance's NOA2 should come through and we will need to prepare for his interview and get the affidavit of support. I'm so afraid that we will be denied for in-sufficiant funds! My parents will sponsor us, but will that be enough? Any advice or suggestions?

Depends on the income of your co-sponsor. Provide more info and you'll get more advice.

Your co-sponsor must met the poverty guidelines for the # of family members. Perhaps you may want to look into the guidelines for better understanding of the income bracket required for the co-sponsor.. good luck

I think I just want to know if I have a chance of being accepted even if I don't have a job, but I have a co-sponsor(s) who makes enough to satisy the income bracket?

Yes, as long as your co-sponsor makes comfortably enough, you will be fine.

Being unemployed will not be grounds for visa denial.

The joint sponsor (only one person) must have sufficient income for their household size plus the intending immigrant. You will submit an affidavit of support as well.

For the K visa, using the I-134, the joint sponsor must meet the income requirement individually. Later at the adjustment of status phase you may need a joint sponsor. If so, using the I-864 there is the ability to have a joint sponsor who combines their income with a household member in order to meet the requirement.
