Is that supposed to be a joke or a funny comment or something?

What does that even mean? You can keep your spouse all you want!

:ot2: i would suggest you to talk to your husband if you really love him and you really have no choice but to sign it..just make sure na hindi ka lugi...remember america is not your country and the competition is very tight.theres only a few chance for you to find a good work .... and also your fiance has a lot of privilege bcoz he is already a US citizen and he can easily divorce anytime.if you will going to sign it just make sure it is fair enough to your part as her wife who serve your whole life with this man.DONT LET LOST YOUR RIGHT!!!your man should think also about your condition if ever he will going to leave you. :P

:secret: i agree with mikedmaster...

but also, look at it like this, if you love him and are sure your marriage will work, why not sign it?...it will also prove to him that you have faith in your relationship and marriage, and shows you don't care about his money.

and also consider his offer pretty good.....if you and him stay married 2 years and you divorce he will pay you $10,000 a year...without that prenup, a judge will not give you anything for such a short term marriage....and if he divorces you after 10 years....well, $50,000 a year ,free and clear is good money no matter what country you live in.....seems like a win-win propostion to me.

I've seen this posted a couple of times... Not per year... One time payout... Why should someone get 20,000 a year for the rest of their life for being married four years? The payout is for the person to get themselves back on their feet and able to support themselves. Basically the guy in this case is going to be putting money in the bank at the rate of 5000 per year and if the two divorce she will get what is in that account. If they make it to the end of the pre-nup time then they will both share the prize :)

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect
