Hi Again!!

So Ryan and I officially hit our five month mark on Monday. Now we are wondering if we should

A) Wait for NOA2 with little to no action on our part

B) Contact the Congressman asap

C) Wait thirty days to contact Congressman

D) Call USCIS / VSC?

E) E-mail VSC

ANY opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

Oh and because he is the petitioner does it have to be him that calls?

VSC is processing around 6 months for the NOA2s.

They are likely going to tell you to wait 30 days anyways if you call them.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

I would wait 2 more weeks.

In the mean time I would be preparing a letter to my congressman/senator.

Good Luck!

A lot depends on your senator/congressman--some are very proactive and others just go thru the drill. Many if not most have an aide who specializes in immigration issues. Give their offices a call and ask to speak to that aide and you will get a good feel if they will really go to bat, or just send off some boilerplate inquiry that will have no effect at all. If you are over by a few days or weeks, and there is nothing unusual about your case, an inquiry probably won't make much difference, but there is absolutely no downside.
