I wonder why nobody has picked up on Obama's admission that OBL was, in fact, assassinated. On Sunday night, he said: "After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body." So, Osama was killed not during the firefight, not as a result of the firefight but AFTER the firefight.

It wouldn't be a surprise. In fact I wouldn't have expected the US to have attempted taking the guy alive, they don't generally approach those sorts of situations with that goal in mind. If anything it's just a surprise they didn't blow the whole compound sky high. Guess they wanted to visually ID the corpse
