AOS process moving quickly

My husband and I filed my I-485 and I-130 in mid March. We later realized we could send in my I-765 without cost and submitted it the very beginning of April. Since then, things seem to be moving pretty quickly. I've had two biometrics appointments, the latest being this past Friday for the I-765 portion of my application. Before this last last biometrics appointment I received my interview notice which is scheduled for May 31.

Is there a chance I could get my work authorization before my interview on May 31? Do you think because I filed it later its going to delay/bog down my I-485 being processed, or just be kind of redundant and come after? I just can't believe how quickly our interview was scheduled, it seems too good to be true and am worrying my I-765 being a few weeks behind might hold me back.

Any thoughts on this?

That's pretty fast (it will be 2.5 months at your interview) but not unheard of. The I-765 and the I-485 are on separate timelines now. So either the EAD will get approved before your interview, or it won't. If you get approved at interview, then the EAD is useless anyway, because the Greencard gives you the right to work by itself. So don't stress and look forward to your interview! EAD not being approved by interview time will not make any difference. Good luck!

AOS for my husband

I had just over a 3 month process, and received my EAD (which I had applied for at time of filing everything) right around interview time. I would venture a guess that you won't get your EAD before your interview. Congratulations on the quick timeline!
