Haha, not bragging, just took me until I was almost finished with the first to figure out what I wanted to do, career-wise. And it's about 10x cheaper in Russia.

Cool, thanks for the info; I guess the Russian legalization is only if you want to enter an American doctoral program or something?

Individual schools can apply their own rules, of course. ECE does not require it and ECE is accepted by most (if not all) universities.

Yes the education is tons cheaper in Russia which is why Sergey goes there. we had thought he could do his master's degree here but MFTI gave him a full scholarship, room and board, to do his masters degree there and even a doctorate if he chooses. So, um...YES! :lol: We were previously paying about $3600 per year for tuition AND room and board and that has crept up to a bit over $4000 for this year. Still, 1/5th what Alla's education costs for tuition ONLY. I have no idea how the Russians can feed that kid for what we pay for room and board. :lol:
