There's nothing you can do right now but wait, you can still travel outside the US as you pleased. Presidential election isn't until next year sometime in November I believe :pop:

Did they say what is the reason you need to wait? Is there something wrong with your papers? Is this normal processing time in Dallas? (Check processing times on this site to compare).

If the wait seems too long compared to other cases it is a good idea to contact your senator for help to speed up the case (there are a few people on this site to whom this method worked well).

Seems like with 80 some odd field offices that deals directly with US citizenship, they do have the final determination, that each has its own procedures as determined by the field office manager. Just a short time ago, the St. Paul had an office manager that wanted huge oath ceremonies with waits of up to nine months or even a year. They finally got in a new manager that thinks differently, even on occasion of giving same day oaths. Completely unheard of even a few months ago.

It all depends upon your field office manager, and can be good today and bad tomorrow or vice-versa. Same thing on having good luck with a different IO at any given field office. And as far as getting supervisor approval, you can only wonder if its you getting that approval, or if that supervisor feels your IO is incompetent and that person is actually getting approved.

Military has always handled this differently as many other institutions, you appear in front of a board, not just one individual. Photographs are not a specified form of evidence, neither was bringing in a stupid utility bill, nor is proof that you paid a parking ticket. All I can suggest is you contact your senators office, and check to see if they have an immigration department in their main office. They don't like messing with senators. And is a shame they run it this way. Some fly through, some others have major problems.

Can also wonder if there are racial problems, couldn't help but notice just about everyone at my stepdaughters' oath ceremony was Asian, and her IO was Asian, but she and we had our share of problems.

if it helps I also interviewed in Dallas on March 4th and got the exact same answer. When I asked why the cldnt make a decision they said that my file had been lost. I believed that until I came here and found many people who had been told the same thing. When I last went to an info pass appt they told me to wait 120 days.

Attorney advised me about that from the very start, to make complete duplicates and to keep all records from anything received from the USCIS. When told on three different occasions, they never used the word to us, lost, but "misplaced". Said no problem, I have complete duplicates and all the originals. For some reason, they managed to find them so never had to use them.

In our brief seven year history with the USCIS, been constant changes with the service center and now these lock boxes whatever the heck those thing are. Have to check the USCIS site the minute before we send off the applications to see if that was changed again. One reason your file gets lost. But with citizenship, these centers handle everything including your biometrics appointment, then send that package to your local field office. Its your field office that doesn't know a darn thing about you until they received that package. So since you already had your interview, if your application was "misplaced" has to be in your field office.

During our AOS stage when our applications were misplaced, attorney said he can't do a darn thing about it, so instructed me to contact our senators office. Amazing how darn quick they can find your application with him batting the ball for you. Over the years, developed quite a relationship with my senators office. Hi Rebeca, this is Nick calling again with a problem.

And what happens after 120 days? Did they say?

Do you have to sue them to get a decision?

Calm down

We need to be wait and dont have to sue them.I thought,If your case has been review by supervisor,,,that means, your case will be approval as soon ,,and oath ceremony will be schedule.

with me,,,I took infopass and see what happen on my case,,Does it get review from them yet or not????And ask them what do they need from you for additional.

The IO officer does not tell me anything,,just say I have to wait for approval letter in 3 months from Revire date...And He did tell me,,maybe early than 3 month

I have nothing to do right now, just check mailbox everyday,,abd Wish It will be in there as soon as possible. That all

Good luck to all,,,we are in the same boat

That is just about it, reported several times that happened to my wifes' friend at the Chicago office, she didn't have the money to take it to court or wanted to bother. While she only lived 30 miles from the St. Louis Office as assigned to the Chicago office and extremely expensive for her to travel and pay those huge hotel bills they have in Chicago. So she just waited 15 months until she finally got her oath letter.

While I composed a letter for her to her senator, no response, her senator was Obama, and he and his entire staff were gone trying to run for president. Fortunately our senator was not running for president and was midterm.

Anyway after all this, she is going back to Spain, low wages and super high property taxes, she had it. Occurred to me, if we all did that, our politicians can fight to collect taxes from each other.
