Gareth phoned the embassy and they gave him a code to insert in the email. I recommend calling the embassy and then going from there the email is: londonconsular@state.gov but I'm not certain if you can just email it without a code.

He told them his situation and he how he needed to be here saturday and the consulate told him he'd have it in hand by thursday including the holidays.

The embassy took about 2 days and called him this morning saying the courier received it today and he'd have it by monday! And we tracked it and now it's all good to go! Best of luck!!! Let me know how it goes!

do u know who u speak to at the embassy? is it the same option where u pay the visa?

also the code must be the case number or tracking number of the passport right?

I think you just have to get to an operator and ask but I think the code is the LND number

I called them today as i have still not received it and the lady went to check on my file and she said that its shown on my file that I DID NOT ATTEND THE INTERVIEW AND FAILED TO APPEAR' she was surprised and said thats obviously not the case as we have your passport.

She then also gave me a code to put in the subject field and email the consular, she stated that 9 times out of 10 without a code they dont really check into detail on your case file.

So just waiting for a reply now from consular to see why they think i did not turn up.

well at first i emailed them without the code and they said it was in AP, but the lady said that it cant be in AP because they would not have kept my passport.

She then told me to email back with the code and now im waiting, so you think it should be ok now?

When I called on Thursday it was just to check to see if they had an idea how much longer it would take. They started asking questions and I was getting nervous because they were making it sound like something wasn't right and then they told me about being listed as not attending. The girl then called a senior officer who told her it was in line to be done. I didn't email the embassy about it, but I guess calling did the trick. I called back on Friday to check that they had listed me as attending (I didn't want any possible issues) and he told me this is normal for it to say that as their systems are two weeks behind. Hopefully the fact you have called will bring attention to your passport.

Yep, I got it this morning. On Friday it was listed on the couriers website, I called them and they said it was in transport from the embassy to the depot. This morning the doorbell went at about 11 and I just about hugged the guy because I was so grateful.

Thats great news congrats, i guess had you not called you may still be waiting. I think its the code that everyone needs to actually make contact with the embassy.

I didn't email them at all...I just spoke to someone over the phone. The lady I was speaking to was confused as to why I was listed as not attending, so she called someone else...not sure if this brought attention to my passport. I also told them my reason for panicking about not getting my passport back soon....not sure if this helped with it. I am sorry that you are still waiting for yours. I really hope you get it soon....waiting to get it back almost seemed more frustrating than waiting for the other notifications.

It is so frustrating yes as its the final hurdle! well lets hope i get a reply soon and will let people know.

Sorry to hear about your problems! Husband had interview same day as you. He was a bit worried with all the bank holidays and since I was going over to visit the last two weeks and we'd be travelling around the country, he was thinking they might try to deliver it while we were out. He obviously couldn't track on the DX secure site right away, so emailed them on the 21st and they told him they'd already gotten it back from the embassy (one day turnaround?!?!?!) and would be delivered on the next business day, which was Tuesday the 26th.

Fingers crossed for a speedy reply from the embassy for your case.
