What is confusing you differentiating between what you need and what is recommended. What you need is for all the originals to be submitted to NVC. You DO NOT need to have originals or copies that were already submitted. What is recommended is that you make a copy of every document you are submitting and bring to the interview - just i in case. It I just a recommendation. For your interview, you need a valid passport, your medical report, sealed by the physician and photos. That is all. On top of that, if the embassy is mising any document, including tax documents, they will not deny your visa (unless the CO is rude). They will just give a slip showing what document I mising and you need to submit.
