I'm curious though... can you have them delivered at whatever time is convenient to you?

VP,

The site addresses that question. You can schedule deliveries for certain time windows. If you pick certain windows, they will even give you a small discount.

i always pick the $1 discount window!! but on the day of your delivery they actually narrow it down and give you a 2hr window. for example, i chose the 3:30p-9p delivery for tonight but checked my ETA this morning (via the site) and it says: Your driver’s ETA is: 6:10 - 8:10PM

what i like is that it saves your list from your last shop and you can just click on what you want/need. i actually make my meal plan and shop at the same time!!:thumbs:

oh the produce has been great jenn! i was worried about that too! everything that's cold/frozen is delivered cold/frozen. of course, i don't expect perfection as i would do it! *bats eyelashes* but to me, it's worth not dealing with the craziness at the supermarket after a busy day at work!

i think this is also a great service for stay at home moms who find it difficult to bundle up a baby or children for the weekly shop.

Does sound like a great service - I used to get my groceries delivered in the UK, but I hadn't even thought about it here. Just as well, as PeaPod completely ignores Maine :( It's not like I live in the sticks, either - but everyone knows Maine isn't a real state anyway

Monique, I think $10 is fair, and I agree that a "whatever feels right" approach is better in this case than a %age rate.

I have always wondered why people think it's ok to tip pizza delivery drivers less than a server in a resturant.

good point... from now on I will only tip server's in a restaurant a buck! ;):D

What gets me is people Expect tips for doing the Job they are paid to do,

For example Starbucks tips jars, Tax drivers expecting Tip even if you unload or load your own bags. What happened to an honest days living.

I never get tips from patients I treat, And I work on them for an hour or more, massage, stretching, Joint Mobilization,

I will tip if someone goes beyond what they are expected or if someone who works hard for minimum wage.

I often give the young kid that shags carts and bags groceries at the grocery store a buck or two he used to refuse it whch impressed me as its against policy for him to accept tips, but they work hard and i recognize that

In a returaunt or Bar its ridiculous that some servers EXPECT tips regardless of the service, the bus boys and dishwasher do most of the hard work shouldn't they be the ones getting tips? Pizaa delivery guy is PAID to deliver pizzas why tip him? what Extra work does he do other than what his Job description requires.

I dont think people who make more than minimum wage should be tipped for doing the job they are paid to do.

The pizza driver does not deserve what the waiter does. I've worked in a restaurant and as a pizza delivery driver. Trust me, as much as delivery drivers like your tips, all they did was drive it to you, for which they are usually compensated by the pizza place. They didn't make the damn thing. :)
