WOW! our letter for interview does not say to bring lease or bills and such... i guess bring it all!?

Right, it's good to have all documents that they may ask for rather than not have them. I too decided to take them just in case and i am glad i did. At one point i was just going to take my passport with me because when i received the yellow letter that is all they had requested me to take with me. I will suggest you take your bills, lease and any other documents. All the best on your interview date.

So it's over 5 months since I sent in my application and still no biometrics so I called the service line on friday. They raised a service request and said I should hear something within the next 15 days, and if I don't hear anything, they told me to call them again. The woman I talked to was very polite and helpful.

Just received some good news....

Oath Ceremony

On October 24, 2011, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283

So for now i am going to wait for the letter to arrive to my mailbox. All the best wishes to those still waiting.

In line for Scheduling and interview for last 2 months, called USCIS customer service , a week back , he said Washington DC field office has back logs , still processing from Feb'9 2011 , so you have to until May is current!....

I didn't try to talk to a second level officer because the first woman I talked to was very helpful and didn't try to fob me off. Hopefully things speed up a bit now.

Thanks for remembering it! I was just about to posting my result. I passed it and got the oath letter (the same day! uscwifey you were right about it!!). The oath will be in the morning on Nov 4 (Friday).

The interview went very smoothly. The interview officer went through my application form and other documents I submitted with it, and asked several additional photo copies (driver's license, health insurance cards, passport) from me. The only photo copy I didn't have was my passport's, so she made it herself. Then she started English and civic tests and I passed (it was super easy).

At the end of interview, she told me I could wait for the oath letter if I wanted to, since it was before 2pm. And of course I waited. The whole interview took about 20 (or 25) minutes.

When I first came to this site, what I was really looking for was timelines of NYC filers (not exactly April or May filers). And I started posting under this topic because I saw some New York people here, specially uscwifey who was waiting for IL for over 3 months just like me. Sorry if that confused you guys here.
