Hey,

So I had my interview on Monday (9/12) and am scheduled to have my Oath Ceremony next Tuesday (9/20). Can someone please update my line in the table - the last time I did I messed up the formatting.

My interview officer was pretty cool. We talked about the past weekend's college football games at the beginning of the interview, which did a really good job of putting me at ease. After swearing in, he asked me the 6 civics questions, which I got the first 6 right, then had me do the english test. All in all, it probably took about 20-25 minutes. Can't wait for after the ceremony so I'll be done with this whole process!!

Civics questions:

1 - How many Justices are there in the Supreme Court? 9

2 - What does the cabinet do? Advises President

3 - If President and VP can't serve, who takes over? Speaker of the House

4 - What did the Declaration of Independence do? Declared independence from Great Britian

5 - What is the name of the VP? Joe Biden

6 - Name a war that the US fought in the 1800s? War of 1812

Congrats to all those who had passed their interviews earlier, and good luck to those who's interviews are upcoming.

My interview went well but unfortunately the IO gave me N-14 form so I will need to go for a Re-Interview which will be in November.

I think I blame this on myself, I listed a traffic citation on my application but somehow I forgot to take the paper work with me and ofcourse with my luck, she seemed to want the most. I had several other documents but this is what is really going to delay my case.

The IO also said, when I go back to the re-interview, i take with me some other evidence with me which i presented today because a few month will have passed by then. Is this normal? Anyone has experience with re-interviws?

Sorry to read that uham... I know that sinking feeling (I had it when I didn't have documentation to show I lived with my husband for each of the three years about which the IO asked, although it turned out to be not a big deal). It's annoying that you have to prepare again, but you'll be able to vote in the next elections! :D

How much were the traffic ticket(s) each? I thought any traffic citation less than $500 need not to be mentioned

The ticket is under $500 but i had it listed on my form that is why she requested additional paperwork for it. She probably think i was arrested for it or something not sure.

I am sorry to hear that Uham and I wish I could offer some advice but unfortunately I don't have any experience with that. However, I have read many cases where a re-interview was needed because of missing paper work. Don't be hard on yourself... it happens to the best of us. It will be fine as long as you get the paper work showing proof that it was taken care of.

Thanks for your kind words. Hopefully, everything will be fine. I just thought i'll be done the minute I walked out of that office. Bright side of it is as I was walking it, the IO did congratulate me for passing the English and civics test so no need to worry about that anymore :-)

Glad to see things moving along carpe diem and soch we are in the same boat. Been anxiously waiting since 06/16/2011(status changed to inline for interview scheduling) I think it shouldn't be long now. We should be receiving something soon :)

I'm in a similar situation with you. My status has changed to inline for interview scheduling since 06/02/2011. And I called the 1-800 number on 09/02/2011, and got the exact same answer. I'm from nyc too. It is really slooooo...oooo...ooo...oo...o...w.

Spoke to a rep who said I should have received something by now and transferred me to a 2nd level officer, waited on hold for 20 mins just to hear the officer say "Well it doesn't seem like you are scheduled right now..." Duh that's why I am calling in the first place. Unfortunately that was all the info I was able to get. could've figured that one out myself but hey there's nothing to do but just say thank you and wait and wait.

today (yes, Saturday) my status finally changed to 'Your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION is now scheduled for interview. You will receive a written notice with a time and place for your interview. You should receive this notice within 14 days. If you do not receive this notice within 14 days from September 17, 2011, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.'.

I also received text message and email notice (both sent at 5:31pm today). (I didn't know that they (or some of them) work on Saturdays, and after 5pm)

It took 3.5 months from 'inline for interview scheduling' to it is actually scheduled for my case. It's really a long time.

I believe your status will get changed soon too. Good luck!

today (yes, Saturday) my status finally changed to 'Your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION is now scheduled for interview. You will receive a written notice with a time and place for your interview. You should receive this notice within 14 days. If you do not receive this notice within 14 days from September 17, 2011, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.'.

I also received text message and email notice (both sent at 5:31pm today). (I didn't know that they (or some of them) work on Saturdays, and after 5pm)

It took 3.5 months from 'inline for interview scheduling' to it is actually scheduled for my case. It's really a long time.

I believe your status will get changed soon too. Good luck!
