Hi VJ friends,

Can someone tell me if there is a separate fee that has to be paid for the application for my fiancee's 5 year old son even though he was included in the original petition to accompany her? We are now awaiting packet 4 and have a scheduled date, but when my fiancee went to prepay for the visa at the bank (Colombia)the person she was dealing with told her we have to pay for him too.. I have been looking at different sites and I'm little confused and would love if someone who already went through this could shine some light on this for me. Thanks in advance for all help!

You have to pay for each person. For instance, if the filing/visa fee is $500, then you pay $500 x # of persons you are petitioning. It gets expensive when you're dealing with more than one person. This will also be the case when you adjust status, but you'll get a small discount for the child. It's all expensive...but it's well worth the price. Good luck.

Thanks Galenjr! Yeah it's all worth it if they say "Yes" at the interview :), but I would hate to hear the words "No" that day.. I appreciate your reply and was also told the same by someone else, so if that's what it takes then that's what I got to do! Take it easy and thanks for the well wishes.
