They are looking for you to document your marriage from the marriage date to the present time, ie, the past 2 years. They want evidence that covers this two year period, not just the last 6 months or year. You should provide two years of Federal tax returns or transcripts, bank statements that show joint account for 2 years, drivers licenses showing same address, credit cards in each name with same account number, etc. In your cover letter you can explain why the lease is only in one name.

We were married in 2008, so I sent a bank statement from 2008/2009/2010/2011 (most recent right before we sent in our ROC paperwork). Did the same for car insurance, same for utility bills, etc. They want to see that you have had an ongoing relationship SINCE you got married, up until now.

Doesn't hurt to send in extra! Even though it may seem like a bit "much", at least they have the info!

I have a question here. If you have to sent more documents. Do you have to send the bank statements etc. for those months after you sent your documents for your ROC? I meant for the months after November? Thanks to everybody.

If you like, you could just send the most recent one along with the other requested evidence. It can't hurt.

I think recent documeents doesnt make that much different. but important matter is documents should be since u got married which prove ur relationship.

I m waiting for bank statements. This time I will also send the Insurance copy and recent tax return.

lets see what happen....

hope everything gona be fine..
