I definitely know the feeling and understand what you're going through.

Trust me when I say it...you're not alone in what you're feeling.

Everyone was born equal...only a select few become Firefighters.

Hi Sweetie,

I know this time is difficult and it's hard when you say goodbye. But you're close to your NOA2 and after that, it goes kinda fast. So you'll be prepared and together in no time. Pamper yourself girlfriend. Have fun getting ready for your Big Day too! Heck, you know where the Decemberite Thread is, come hang with us!! We'd love to have you and we'll even wipe away your tears.

VSC is moving now and you might be pleasantly surprised at what comes next! Seriously!!

Hugs to you Jade. You let it all out... sometimes you just need a friend to say it's going to be OK.

Love to you and your family,

Mari

Hey there., i completely understand that feeling., we all do. Hang in there and be thankful to God that u have such a devoted man. You do not necessarily have to pick fights with him to express your frustration, it will only bring more stress to your relationship. The distance between you two is stressful enough, why complicate it further. Good news is that you are almost at the end of your journey.. hang in there :)

While our wait is considerably short compared to yours, I do know exactly how you feel, we've been married for almost 4 months and I have my days; some days I'm upbeat and other days I'm just a blubbering mess. It helps that we have sites like this where we can connect with others who are going through similar situations, keep your head up.

We all know how hard it is too wait, it's a pain in the #### and some days the ache for the one you love is just too hard. BUT! Let's remember how happy we are that we found our other half, our soulmate! Not everybody is so blessed, many people are still searching. This process (the visa journey) will end one day, and then we can share our life with our loved ones. Isn't this something to be happy, full of joy and thankful?

i understand how you feel. sometimes i just start crying during classes at college, my "friends" avoid me like hell because im not the same person since we started everything. he feels the same, we're very stressed and sometimes fight because this is hard to take. i dont think everyone could keep up with a visa journey, that's why you should know, we, the people on this forum, are much stronger than the rest and we'll be fine as long as we have hope, patience and faith that everything will be ok in the end.

Thank you so much everyone for the kind words and comfort, it means so much to me. Funnily enough I was trying to buy health food and vitamins when I abandoned my shopping, I was feeling so run down.

I agree that finding your soulmate is something to feel joyous about, but being with them like a living situation, then apart, then together then apart as we have been is like the evil dangling carrot "Here's your happiness, everything you ever dreamt of...oh wait no it's gone again" The more time we spend together the more I drift away from my life in England, then I return and simply feel empty and alone.

I truly believe this situation can deeply impact your mental health, especially with children involved.

I saw my doctor today, he has me on better anti depressants and some Valium for those particularly dark days.

You guys are right, it takes super human strength to endure this!! and only true love could give us that. Only WE understand this. There IS light at the end of the tunnel even when we can't see it.

If anyone would like to become my friend on Facebook you are more than welcome (jadeylady@gmail.com) perhaps I can offer some support like you have me. (Just add a note that you are from VJ in the request) Mrsk-2b an email is coming your way shortly lovely (F)

Thank you ALL for such thoughtful and compassionate comments, much love. Jade (L)

Hey,

Keep your chin up, I was or should i say still feel the same as you, my Wife is in the US and im here in the UK. I have found being apart the hardest thing i have ever done. Even tho we chose a different route to yourself our stories are the same, we miss our partners so much.

We chose to marry then apply for a spouse visa, kinda looking back it would of been quicker for a K1 visa but at the time we just wanted to commit our selfs while i was visiting last July.

Constantly i lock my self away from people as i find this helps me make the days go quicker because a day down is a day closer to seeing my beautiful wife. Having a long distance relationship is the hardest kind, i believe and if you can get through all the trust issues and arguments because your so far away then guess what.... you will have the best relationship in history when you finally are reunited.

so again chin up and good luck

I'm so thankful that everyone here knows what it's like, because I totally understand your feeling.

Even though we just started our K-1, we have been in a LDR for about a year, and it's just draining.

When he left, I changed. I became glued to the computer so I could talk to him on skype. When I was out with friends or family, my mind wasn't really all there. People began avoiding me because I was a very negative and spacey person. I used to be fun, bubbly, and happy all the time. It depressed me that when I was waking up, he was already going to bed, because we're exactly 12 hours apart. I cried almost everyday, and I would get angry at him very easily. I also lost 15 pounds. And I only weighed 105 before.

When I went to Thailand and we got engaged, those three months I became regenerated and I felt like myself FINALLY again. And at that time, I promised myself to never be like that again when we part.

We were so emotionally connected when I had to leave and I was walking to my gate at the airport and he was smiling and waving. I cried the whole 36 hours that I was traveling back to the US. I think the other passengers thought I was mental.

But when I got back, I remembered my promise. You have to be positive. It doesn't do anything to be sad, or paranoid. I know it's extremely hard.

Think about it how painful it is to put yourself through the pain and decided to change it. You can feel happy at any time you want. I read that from Anthony Robbins. It really helped reading his book "Awaken the Giant"

You're almost there! And also to everyone who feels these emotions, just know that you're not alone, and it will be over soon! We can support eachother. :D

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T
