Dublin pre-clearance and Proof of ties

Hello VJers!

Hope you all are doing good and having a smooth journey

I need to ask you something; my fiancè is coming to visit and meet my family for 2 weeks in July and we decided to try and going back together in the US (since the society I work for is going to be closed in August so I wont work).

We are going to fly through Dublin, so that we'll have pre-clearance there and in case there will be ANY problem at the POE, I wont have to buy an intercontinental flight to come back to Italy.

Reading around the forum, seems like visiting US while waiting on NOA2 is legal and can be done BUT proof of ties to home-country gotta be shown. Unluckily I don't own anything here in Italy, still living with my parents, so no mortgage or lease.. All I can think about as a "proof of ties to my country" is a letter from my employer stating that I am expected back at work in September (and of course I'll have my NOA1, I'll be in my forth month of waiting for NOA2).

Is there someone who has already done that? Do you guys have an example of the letter I should make my boss sign?

While there's no "sure thing" I would just come as prepared as you possibly can. My husband has traveled while we've had applications processing and hasn't had any issues nor has he ever been asked to present documentation other than showing a return ticket. Saying that I know there are people on here who have been questioned so the only option you have is bring what you can and hope that it's sufficient if you are questioned.
