I cannot transfer alot of money at once. I have two options: I transfer a smaller amount every day. Costs fees. Or I show my own bank statement? I am not sure if they will accept it.

I sometimes transfer tens of thousands of dollars in one CLICK. I am not aware of a law that would prevent you from transferring large amounts of money. In fact, friends of mine transferred $660,000 in one chunk from Deutsche Bank to Bank of America to buy a house here.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Right! It's really only a matter of fees. You can wire transfer any amount of funds you wish.

Maybe I need to talk to the Deutsche Bank people on the counter because it didn't let me transfer it all at once. Thank you for the advice.

When do you get tax returns of 2011? Can they be added to the I-864 when my co-sponsor re-does his forms?

Sorry I keep bothering you.

2011 tax returns are filed and available in 2012. The most recent tax return will be the one for 2010.

We plan to put my current income and savings into my husband's bank account. We read that we need to show a 1 year of bank statements. Is this true? Will they question us when I put my savings in this bank with 2 to 3 transfers?

What goes in the bank account is an asset, not "income". They can "question" anything but a current bank statement is enough to show that the asset is there. Unless your cash is going to help your husband qualify on his own, without a joint sponsor, it really isn't of much value in the process. The qualified sponsor is the key.

I really appreciate your support. We are going through a hard time and we hope we can make this journey successful. I'm so close to get this stamp in my passport and yet so far. This is the very last step.

Alright. I had the idea of saving up 3x the difference of my co-sponsor, put it in the US bank and show the consolate a new 864.

My husband has another idea. I write a letter of explanation that I have regular income, we stay here in Germany for a few more months and save up the 3x difference of my co-sponsor and show the bank statement of my German bank account. So will this work out or should we stick with the first plan where we show the actual amount of money on the bank statement?

Saving 3x the difference of your co-sponsor won't work. You need to save 3x the difference of your spouse. Your spouse and cosponsor do not combine their income.
