Hi everyone! First time posting here.

When my wife and I got married, we lived with her parents for 1 year due to financial reasons. Back in 2009 we got an apartment together but I never filed an AR-11 because we kinda live back and forth between her parents and our apartment and to be honest, I also totally forgot. Grandma watches our daughter almost everyday so we are always there, a lot of our daughter's stuff is there and my wife and I still have a lot of stuff there since our apartment is kinda small and we still have our room there too. Until this day, we send all of our important documents there because we are guaranteed to get them there vs at the apartments. All of my original immigration paperwork also has their address.

Now here is my question: Im in the process of filing the I-751 and I want to know if Im going to be in trouble for not filing that ar-11 since a lot of my marriage evidence like tax returns is going to have the apartment address. Do I actually have to file that form if I technically DONT want my address of file changed? If so, is it too late and do I have to do anything extra since it has been almost 2 years that I moved?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Put a covering letter in explaining why you have two addresses. Such things happen in modern lives.

Personally, I would consider it additional supporting material that your in-laws are so involved in your lives and can attest to your happily married state. :)

Thanks for answering my question but I still have one doubt. Do I actually need to file the change of address form or not?

Thanks again!
