Hi to everyone!!!!!!

:help: :help: :help: We just had our K-1 petition approval on April 26th and got our NOA2 in the mail April 30th. Now that we got approved and our petition was sent to NVC what is next?

I would like to ask some questions about how to set up your medical and Interview appointment. My fiance will be applying for visa in U.S Embassy, Manila Philippines

Thanks in advance and I appreciate all facts and experience you share

Questions:

What is Packet 3 and 4?

To those who went to this stage how did you set up your medical and interview appt? (for Philippines K-1 applicant)

Do we have to pay the visa fee before we can schedule a medical and interview date?

Thank you again for your answers and thoughts!!

Packet 3 is the letter that will be sent to your fiancées mail address stating for an eligibility for the interview and other infos. Dont wait for the letter to arrive, as long as you have the MNL case # and your NOA2 you can now go for the medical. Some waited for this letter and it took forever to arrive.

Packet 4 is the mysterious brown envelope that she will bring with her in the US. Only the Immigration officer can open this, so never open it. This brown envelope will be given together her passport and visa in it.

Once you have your MNL case #, you can now go for your medical exam. It should be 1-2 weeks before your interview. You can arrange the interview online but make sure to pay for the visa fee first for I think you need to input your receipt number on their system to get through.

Were still waiting for our NOA2 and this was just based on what I read. So please correct me if wrong.

Once you have your MNL case number you can just schedule for medical interview its actually a first come first serve basis at ST. Lukes, you just need to bring your passport, MNL case number, 3 passport photos and an appointment letter or your NOA2 letter from NVC. There's no packet 4 actually, you have to download the forms in the website. DS 156K, DS 156, DS 157 2 copies each. You'll bring those forms on your interview date. Congratulations btw on your NOA2, you're almost there :)
