i-130 and more...

I'm getting ready to send my i-130 and still have couple questions.

Supporting material along with i-130.

My Skype history log (around 100 pages) has a gap from September 2008 till July-August 2009. The reason is my wife had been using someone else's laptop. And when it came to re-install Windows, no one could think about backing up main.db from Skype. So, that period has gone.

My question is: should I explain on that log why is that gap existing? Or I don't have to?

I know, it's too early to speak about NVC stage, but after having read all the threads regarding NVC electronic processing for Montreal, I still have couple questions on it. And want to come prepared for that stage. In fact, all supporting docs have been scanned already.

1. Who opts in? Petitioner (me) or my wife (beneficiary)?

2. When the petitioner gives over the phone e-mails to NVC does it mean that AOS and IV bills would be sent via e-mail? And not through the regular mail?

3. While DS-261 (choice of agent) is still pending who is gonna get AOS invoice? Me or my wife? Or both? Or it doesn't matter?

4. Since DS-260 is gonna be filled out by my wife how does the NVC match received scanned docs with DS-260 (since DS-260 precedes sending of docs)? Just of curiosity.

5. Since we gonna submit scanned translations of originals, how am I supposed to place them in that .pdf file and make a note that this translation comes with that original? Make a header on that scanned copy noting which document it belongs to? Any ideas?

6. Who submits docs for DS-260? If I'm not mistaken, the petitioner could send supporting docs for DS 260. Is that correct? Since my wife is not really literate with computer and I don't want to get delayed by possible RFEs, I would like to do all the job except DS-260 and DS 261.

7. The police clearance certificate from Ukraine is valid for 1 year (if I'm not wrong). In our case it expires somewhere in January, 2012. If the interview is scheduled, let's say, for February-March-April, would it mean that my wife will have to obtain the newer for the interview? Or existing PCC will suffice? Plus, she's been resident in Canada since January 2005 and traveled to Ukraine 1-2 times for 1-2 months. So, in my opinion, it would make sense to have the most recent from Canada. And what could have changed on her record while she has been in Canada and she has that initial PCC from Ukraine that covers her staying in Ukraine up to January 2005? Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Uhm, if you're going through the Ukraine embassy... why are you reading stuff which deals with Montreal? You're not going to be able to do electronic processing because your embassy isn't set up to handle it yet.

Holding my nose and jumping off the cliff.. hope I don't hit any rocks in the water.

My wife lives in Toronto, Canada. That's why we're going through Montreal EP

Thank you for the answer on Skype history  , but the link http://www.visajourn...p/EZGuideSpouse you have provided doesn't answer my questions.

In addition, as I've mentioned already, my wife is going through Montreal EP.

And I've done reading many threads regarding MTL EP, but still some of the questions are left unclear :help:

To Saylin: I would really appreciate your help on answering my questions, since your thread http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_for_Montreal_Beneficiaries_%E2%80%93_Electronic_Processing_and_New_Online_Forms was really helpful.

But I couldn't understand who was doing that: opt-in, paying i-864 invoice, sending scanned forms etc, (everything that I included in my original topic for qqs. 1-6) - you or your husband (petitioner) ?

And I really need help on q.7 :help:
