hi, i need your help. :(

is it true that if you pass post paid telephone bills as evidence it is a strong proof and most likely the petition will be approved?

i'm kinda worried because we don't have this as a proof since we only use prepaid cards for telephone calls and we usually use skype as our form of communication.

my fiance' only passed pictures, birthday and christmas cards, letters, and also receipts that he is giving me financial support every month.

now i'm really worried because they might disapprove our petition for lack of evidence?

USCIS received the petition last march 21, 2011 and our current status is for initial review.

i also have a friend last year and it only took her 1 month and she received immediately a letter for medicals. it took her only 4-5 months and everything was settled and approved. i was thinking the telephone bills might have helped their petition because it is a strong evidence?

what do you think? thanks in advance.

That's only secondary evidence. It helps, but not really. As long as you provided proof of meeting within the last two years (pictures, plane tickets, passport stamps) and evidence of relationship via pictures, statements etc.. You should be okay :) You can show more evidence for the interview part, but for now thats all they need. There are some lucky people who received their NOA2 right away (like me) but it was just luck.. people say they pulled out our file for training purposes. And there were alot of us back then, maybe the same thing happened to your friend? Relax and goodluck on your visa journey!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

Paper bills is just one of many many pieces of evidence you can provide. pictures of you both and with family, e-mail, skype conversations, cards, letters, plane tickets and more!!

Every case is different and at the moment cases are taking a long time to get approved, 6-7 months in some cass. Don't judge yours on someone else's.

USCIS aren't stupid, (although sometimes you'd be forgiven for thinking they are) If you've not met family you can put pictures of you with them, its not a bad thing, its not always possible to meet family, you met in college yes?? was that in the states?? if you were on the west coast and they're on the east coast it may have been difficult to meet them. Just like if your mobile is pay as go you can't prove phone conversations on it. Maybe save your receipt's to show the frequency that you topped up.

Don't worry as long as you included a reasonable amount of evidence you'll be fine!!! You've also known each other a long time so I think you'll be fine!!

Hey there, well i am in the same situation,I dont have phone bills either, my fiance and I use calling cards, because we talk every morning when we wake up and every night before going to sleep on yahoo.. during the day while he is at work, we use messenger to chat, and make video-calls...

So I make screen shots of our chats on messenger and our call records from yahoo!!and I also make print shots from when we make videocalls..where u can see my and my fiance's face (in all of these print shots, u can also see the dates)

We filed in February and i have already made folders from February, March and Avril full of every single day conversation we have during the day!!!

He doesnt send me money, but he will help to pay the medical, interview,etc.. I read on my embassy website that money order receipts are good proof of relationship!!! :)

we also hace pictures from when i was living in USA 1 year..and we send to each other gifts ,and letters..

I think u dont need phone bills as long as u can prove u comunicate with your fiance every day

I dont know why ur friend got approved so quick last year.. but USCIS is taking about 5-6 months on approving cases..

Hope this help you!! ang good luck :)
