One thing I've noticed (increasingly) in the NYC suburbs -

the posted price that you see from the road will often be 10 cents or more

cheaper than the OUCH! price at the pump.

Lots of stations have $4.17 posted for unleaded and when you get to the pump it's $4.27.

I have not noticed that. What I have noticed is that the cash price is advertised in BIG LETTERS and the credit price is 5-15 cents more per gallon and written in small letters.
