Hey guys,

I am currently on a J1 visa which expires on August 1st. I am with an organization in America and my school in Oklahoma City ends on May 24th. I want to finish my high school senior year in Dallas to get in-state prices for UTD. My cousin already filled out the guardianship form and talked to that school. They said everything is fine since he is a citizen and older than 21. So my question is now do I have to go back to Germany to get my visa or can I just switch from F1 to J1?

Thanks

Do you mean from J1 to F1, as you state you have a J1 now?

I know it is possible to switch from a B2 to a F1 without leaving the country, so it should be possible.
