I'm still here (lurking more than contributing). I'm just calculating my next move. I know it's going to be a week or so before the NVC gets our case. I have the number saved in my cell phone. Where we're at with our situation is this: Amy needs to get her passport renewed and her NBI still needs to be run. We've already received 2 copies of her birth certificate and her CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage (for all who aren't dealing with pinay/pinoy loved ones)). The Philippine government seems to be running very slow right now. I've heard as long as 4 months for passports, but I don't know if that's for new passport applicants. I'm hoping that the wait for a passport renewal is much shorter (like only a few weeks). At this point, I don't care if we don't get an interview date until October. We're expecting our first baby together (I have a 15 y.o. son from a previous relationship), due around Oct. 14. My mother and I are flying over for the birth, arriving Oct. 10 and staying for a month. If at all possible, I plan on being there for the embassy interview (USEM allows for this). I'm sure it will make things go much smoother and will increase the chances of hearing "Approved." If everything goes right, Amy and Ryan/Serena (not sure if it will be a boy or girl, yet (our angel wasn't laying right during the last ultrasound)) will be able to come back with us when we return to Chicago on 11-11-11. Our wedding date is set for January 7, 2012; the first day we met in person. (L)

Congratz on the baby and good luck with all that you do. I'm guessing you're from Chicago then. Haha I was just there in April when I saw Geraldine. I got lost in O'Hare and it made me delay my flight to see her. They gave me the flight the next day for no extra cost though. If all goes well and to plan we will be getting married Dec 10th which our dating anniversary date.

Originally, I'm from the far western suburbs of Chicago. I live about 3 hours west now, in the Quad Cities area; near the Mississippi River. O'Hare is the closest major international airport with overseas flights. This will be my first time flying out of Terminal 5, though. When I traveled to Manila in January, I had purchased the tickets for the overseas leg of the trip out of L.A. and had purchased separate connecting flights on a different airline. This trip will be much more streamlined with only one connection each way in Seoul, S. Korea.

Current Status: Married on March 3, 2012. Preparing for AOS.

O'Hare is such bs haha nice way of saying it. They had signs all over the place for Amman, Jordan but no gate number or any directions pointing towards Terminal 5. They need to put on the signs that you need to go to Terminal 5 and not just leave it blank. My flight didn't leave til 10pm or 10:30pm(don't remember which). After 9pm I started asking questions, rode the tram, got thru security, and then was 30 mins early before departure but they already shut the door. Wouldn't let me on so I got stuck in Chicago for the night. Then the hotel bus never showed up for me that was set up thru the airline so I made my own arrangements. Needless to say it was a long night in Chicago and even longer because I wanted to see my baby so badly but I finally made it the next day. Had to wait all day at the airport the next day too since the flight was the same time. However it was well worth the wait and the trouble. I would gladly do it over just to be with my baby again. When I was finally with her it was more perfect than I could ever imagine.

P.S. I'm from STL if you can't tell from the pic. I wonder how quickly I would go through airport security and let a "cubs suck" out in line. hehehe Probably get searched a bit longer make me late for all of my flights not just one. I should of really represented and wore my Cardinals shirt at the airport. Can't now GG stole that shirt now as her sleeping shirt. haha I'll tell her to wear it on the way home to here.

Nope, wasn't able to tell from the pic. I guess it would depend upon if DHS screener was a Cubs or Sox fan. ;) Personaly, I would've tried to scare the ####### out of you by gloving up one hand and making mention of a certain type of search for contraband. However, with the secret password of "Visa Journey" you would've gotten a pass. :D By the way, you're at 117 on Igor's now. Yours is soon to come, hopefully. :star:

I hope so. I'm kind of expecting within the next 3 weeks or at least I hope. Also I knew we were 118 but not 117 I guess I needed to sleep for 4 hours between looking.

3 weeks is too long an estimate, considering your at CSC. I would say any day this week. :D

If I were you, I'd start gathering all the required documents GG will need; if you haven't already.

Well her birthday is on July 4th I told her she needs to work on her police certs her next off day. It would be great if it is this week but I don't know if it would be that soon. I guess we'll see. :)

However, she can't leave there until Sept anyways but the sooner we're approved the better. Anything to keep us from going insane hehehe.

Well, even if she can't leave until then you two can still get your ducks in a row and start preparing for the interview. Depending upon the embassy, your interview date may not be until around Sept. anyway.

I dunno I read something about there being a 3 day wait time for the interview. I plan on getting together all of our on-going stuff together along with our support papers and mailing them to her. Hopefully we have enough on-going stuff.

Hopefully you're right. GG is getting discouraged and emotional again. She gets worried that we won't pass and we can't be together. Even though we don't have any reason to worry......she just worries to worry. :bonk: Personally I'm much stronger, more patient, and know we will pass. However, when she gets sad I can't help but to get sad too because I want to be there to comfort her. I know it will be a while longer that I can be there again so hopefully we hear something soon. We could really use it to lift our spirits.
