You were right, got shipped off to Manila today and I got my case number. Now on to paying the visa fee and getting the medical done in Manila. Everything is finally coming together. Hopefully all will be done by the time I come in late November to get her.

Just venting ......

I wish I could take the rfe off GG's shoulders. I wish it was something I could of did myself. She is sick and working a lot she doesn't feel like doing something extra. On top of it she is scared and was crying tonight because she is worried about what will happen. Upsetting to me too because all I want to do is hold her and let her know things will be fine. While I can let her know things are and will be fine I can't do the holding at this time.

I know the approval is right around the corner but that doesn't make it any easier. I always told myself that if we got a rfe I would just take care of it so she wouldn't have to worry. However the way things happened it was unexpected that it would be on her so there is nothing I can do but wait for her to get them done. In fact we probably should of never got the rfe that was unexpected too but nothing we can do but do what they asked. Anyways she should have it tomorrow. :blush:

Hang in there John...Dont know what else to say. I feel for you Guys! But I know its hard now, But I tell you, you and GG will look back on this time next year and smile.......... We Made it!! Good Luck!!!:thumbs:

Lol, my fiancee called NVC today, had a very friendly lady on the other side of the phone. NVC sent the papers on August 8 to Brussels ;)

I'm confused about NVC. I emailed them with our NOA2 when it had been a month and still no case number. We got an email back Friday with a case number, and it said to contact the Embassy for any questions. Does this mean we're already in London? I called NVC with our NVC case number and it still says no such case exists. :huh:

The Story So Far:

Sep 2009 - Met at University in UK

Apr 1 2011 - Engaged!

Apr 18 2011 - Sent I-129F...hoping for the best.

Apr 29 2011 - NOA 1 - California Service Center

Jul 14 2011 - NOA 2 (76 days after NOA 1)

Sooooooooooooo... Any April fliers still waiting? Congrats to everybody who made it through to NVC or got thair NOA2's though! I feel like I might just be the only person left in April who hasn't gotten ours yet! :blush:

4/6/2011 - USCIS receipt date

4/7/2011 - Received e-mail/text NOA1

4/8/2011 - Touched

4/12/2011 - Receipt received via snail mail (I797C)

8/29/2011 - Received email/text NOA2

9/2/2011 - NVC received (no NVC # assigned yet)

9/2/2011 - Received hardcopy of NOA2

9/6/2011 - NVC Havana case number assigned

9/16/2011 - NVC forwarded case to Havana

9/19/2011 - NVC generated informational letter to me

9/23/2011 - Received letter from NVC via snail mail

10/6/2011 - Packet received by US Interest Section in Havana

10/18/2011 - Amel received telegram advising him when to pick up packet

12/05/2011 - Amel had blood work and x-rays done in preparation for medical examination

12/12/2011 - Amel picked up packet of forms at the USINT in Havana.

01/10/2012 - Amel had his medical exam today.

03/01/2012 - Interview: APPROVED!

03/20/2012 - Visa received.

3/23/2012 - Carta blanca, etc. requested

We're still waiting but only because we just got a rfe. I imagine our approval will be shortly after we get it turned in.

hehehe John, I wasn't counting you but only because I figure once you move to the RFE stage at least you know someone has seen your stuff and it's not just collecting dust somewhere in Vermont! ;)

Thanks for the support.... She has the medical in Manila next week and scheduled an appt online for September 1st. They even still had appointments for this week and the rest of August. It must be a slow time at the MNL embassy. :) Hoping that nothing comes up and she can come here in November and we can get married in January. :dance::thumbs:
