My fiance filed for me, and my interview date was already slated for 16th may 2011, I have all necessary documents ready... But last week thursday, I got a call from the Nigerian embassy, and I was told my appointment has been resheduled to the 3rd of may 2011(tuesday). Am a bit scared bout the fact that the embassy had already mailed me few months back notifying me of the 16th may... Now, I don't have any appointment letter showing the new scheduled day i.e 3rd of may. Or do u think I shouldn't be bothered? Cos I don't know what I would face that morning. Maybe my name would be on the list at the gate or not..or which one do you think would be the genuine? The letter they sent earlier showing 16th may or the call I got last week from the consulate stating 3rd of may? Thank you!

Do u think it may be too late to send the an email asking them for an email showing the appointment date change? I would atleast try...I would think nevertheless you should be on the list at the gate. I pray all goes well.

They are not known for moving dates up but they may have a canceled slot and your file may be ready. I can't see them picking someone from coming in whose file isn't ready. Did the number the call came from match more or less the number series the consulate uses.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Good advice, send in an email to confirm. Tell them about the call and ask for confirmation. It should be ok. Good luck.

Thanks guys... . Lagos consulate sent a confirmation email to me in late february stating 16th may to be my interview day. So when I got the call on thursday saying av bn rescheduled to the 3rd of may, I got the feeling the interview was originaly slated for 2nd may..and since there would be an holiday in Nigeria on the 2nd of May, so they called to notify me the rescheduling. I don't want to put all of my mind on that confirmation mail they sent in february which states my interview wld be on 16th may..cos I have read many people's experience on vj in situation where you'll get to the gate and they'll tell you your name is not on the list for that day, which of course you have the letter stating that you interview should be done on that day.

Hi guys,

I hope all is going well with you all.

I just had a question for you all, concerning London interviews. I appologise if this comes across as an interruption. My hubby is a UK resident with naija passport and has an expedited case for london and still waiting on an interview date (ironic for an expedite I think). Would anyone happen to know any Nigerians that have interviewed in London recently or within the past year? I would appreciate any and all inputs you all may have for us.

Thanks and good luck in all your cases and processing.

Blessings.
