For those who were transferred to CSC

I got a letter from the mail regarding my case being transferred to CSC and it says:

This is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing:

California Service Center blah blah blah

..........

Anyway is this the standard notice that you received as well?

I am just wondering because we requested an expedite via phone and were given a receipt number and was told that we would be informed within 5 days if our expedite request was approved or not. It has been over a week now and we called to follow up but they told us that there hasn't been a decision yet. (He is deploying to the middle east)

And I know that some people have been forwarded to CSC and then sent back to their local office, so I am not yet assuming that I won't have an interview or RFE but one can hope, right? I certainly hope we don't get an interview because my husband will be away for Army training in Virginia for the whole month of June, and I am afraid we'd get a schedule then.

Thanks in advance to those who reply, and goodluck to everyone here. I am so ready to be done with this!

Same thing i got when mine was sent to CSC. Although it does not seem like its faster processing anymore!

I did not request an expedite from my husbands deployment but I sent a letter and proof that he is NOT in the country and not able to attend any type of interview, we had no interview and were approved at CSC in about 2 months-ish

I had the same with my petition. The nice thing is: it really speeds up the process (got my EAD on April 28th, and the GC on April 30th) and most likeley you dont even have to go to an interview :-).

Mine was transferred to CSC too. If you look at my timeline, I got my GC in less than 3 months without interview. If you don't have any RFE, processing will be faster.

Goodluck for the speedy process!

sorry if this is a silly question but somebody can tell me what an expedite request means??

thanks a lot

It basically means you are requesting for you case to be processed quicker. In my case it is because my hubby can be asked to leave anytime for deployment, and we want me to be settled before he goes.. with a license, moved in to our apartment, enrolled in school.

We sent in a letter from his CO on our packet, and we called in as well. So far they said to call back in 5 days, so we did, and they said they still had no decision about it so I'm just going to let it go. What else can I do. I'll just wait and hope for the best. :)

So anyway just to add that I got a response via mail regarding my expedite request, and they said that they have forwarded my case to CSC. I guess that was their way of "expediting" it. :)
