Congratulations on your NOA2! for the K1 visa you will have the medical exam fee of $213.35 and the visa fee is $350.00. I personally cant say if its ok if you have no phone records at all, just try to get as much evidence as you can, if you type in the answers on the forms i dont think it matters if you say you filled them in for her, but its just my opinion.

OK SO I HAVE MANY QUESTIONS & NEED ANSWERS LOL.

CONGRATS!

-I KNOW THERE ARE FEES TO BE PAID ONE BEING ON THE BANCO POPULAR AND THE DAY OF THE INTERVIEW.

IS THERE ANY OTHER FEE? LIKE AFFIDAVITS OR ANYTHING? I THINK I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THERE IS A $402 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT FEE IS THIS TRUE?

As soon as you have obtained the documents that are applicable in your case, take this sheet to any Banco Popular branch in the Dominican Republic to pay the non-fundable visa application fee of the equivalent of US$140.00 in Dominican pesos and an additional non-refundable fee of US$15.00 (the equivalent in Dominican pesos) plus applicable taxes per applicant. The additional US$15.00 fee is for the official verification of your records. All applicants must pay the equivalent of US$140.00 fee, but only applicants who will be age 18 or older on the day of their interview need to pay the equivalent US$13.00 fee. Make sure to take the Banco Popular receipt to the Consular Section on the day of your interview.

Starting June 4, 2010, all K visa applications need to pay US$210.00 the day of the interview in the Consular Section.

Other fees include Medical Exam:

http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/examination-vaccines-e.html

Domex Fee (courier service who delivers visa after approval)

If the visa is issued you should pay $9.50 or $12.50 USD (or the equivalent in Dominican pesos) depending where you live in the Dominican Republic. The documents will be delivered to your home.

http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/k1-k2_instructions.html

-I CAN'T GET CALL LOGS FROM MY CELL COMPANY, IS THAT OK.?

Phone records are considered secondary evidence, although they are good to have, don't obsess over it if you cannot get all of them. Just have enough to show a "consistent" "ongoing" relationship.

-I AM GOING TO FILL OUT THE FORMS FOR MY FIANCE SO DO I SIGN THAT I THE PETITIONER

FILLED IT OUT?

You can, it's really up to you. There is not much difference, if you are talking to each over the phone and he's telling you what to fill out on the form he is completing it just as much as you are. During the interview, they will ask you "how helped you with the forms?" They really mean "lawyer" or "translator". Plenty of couples complete the forms themselves so it doesn't really matter if you put his name or yours. Just respond to the CO that you completed them yourselves.

ANY HELP WILL BE GLADLY ACCEPTED.

THANK YOU

Question, I told my fiancee about all these fees, and she told me that the visa application is already paid because whenever you send the i129f for processing you have to pay this. is that true? or we still need to pay this fee in el banco popular regardless?

Surprise! There are more fees to pay after the initial petition fee due at filing time. Check out the Santo Domingo Embassy website for further details.

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

The K1 Visa in total can cost up to $1805.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare

The first fee you pay is only for the petition (I-129f). -> $340

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=b1ae408b1c4b3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=b1ae408b1c4b3210VgnVCM100000b92ca60aRCRD

After the petition is approved and your fiancee gets her Interview Letter, you will be sent a packet containing a letter for a her Medical Exam Appointment. Cost of Medical Exam & Vaccinations -> $180 + Vaccinations (up to $330)

http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/examination-vaccines-e.html

Third Fee is for K1 Visa and its paid in Two (2) parts. You pay Banco Popular $140 + $15 + taxes before the interview. Then you pay $220 + taxes at the Embassy in the day of interview.

http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/k1-k2_instructions.html

Fourth Fee is to be paid to DOMEX courier service (after receiving visa approval). Cost $9.50-$12.

Note: This is an expensive process. You will spend even more money when you do Adjustment of Status after marriage. ($1,010)

Many couples will choose to do CR1 visa (marriage visa) because its just as fast the K1 process and its almost $1,000 cheaper.
