P.S. - I shipped my package earlier this month and it said delivered to 75222. So I Google mapped the two zip codes and it landed at the same spot on the map both times. THHHHEN - I realized that I'd written the check for the wrong amount. They shipped the package back to me to resend with the correct amount so (in short form,) yep - - - 75222 is the correct address/zip as well. I'm not certain why it's being scanned in like that but the packages are definitely still getting there. :)

4.26.11 - Packet sent to Texas LockBox

4.28.11 - Delivery to Dallas Texas

5.4.11 - NOA1 Text AND Email @ 2:46 AM. WOOT!

5.6.11 - NOA1 Hard Copy

8.17.11 - NOA2!!!!!!!!! NO RFE!! THANKS VJ FRIENDS!!

Bigger PO box... now that's funny xD

Guess you haven't seen their loading docks?

fileau.jpg

Here's the source: http://www.dhs.gov/x...Report_2008.pdf (page 29.. also shows the file room there...)

There must be something different the issue, I doubt their PO box was too small lol :)

btw, here's something I added to the above picture on a different thread:

...I read the following part on a Dutch forum (it's in metric, but to make it easy: 1 meter is approximately 3 feet):

"6 million petitions per year, 200 working days a year, and an average size of 3 mm high envelop is giving 6000000/200*0.003 = about 90 meters paper per day in height"

(btw, 3 mm is really small, I think most packages are more like 2-3 cm, so go figure)

so naahhhhh, it couldn't be too small =)

I personally am beginning to think that the instructions on sending the USPS Priority or certified with delivery confirmation should perhaps be sent to Lewisville instead of the PO Box in Dallas. I sent to PO Box in Dallas because instructions on VJ say to do so, but the trend shows that people sending to Lewisville (even theo ones that go USPS by Priority etc) get there faster than the ones that go to Dallas PO Box. It's a long process so not a big deal, but for perfectionists I bet Lewisville is the way to go.

All this about saving a day in a months long process is really kind of comical but visualize a huge mail room. They pick up their tubs of mail in the morning from the Post Office, or sometime during the day, packages are delivered to the physical address. For all intents and purposes, Lewisville, IS Dallas.

Not really what I meant. The PO Box mail goes to a Post Office technically in Dallas but all the mail ends up in Lewisville, a suburb of Dallas that doesn't actually touch the city. Not sure why they use a Post Office in Dallas.

While I think it's perfectly OK to send priority mail to the Lewisville street address, the "instructions" indicate Express Mail and Couriers, not Priority Mail.

Got a text message at 1:46am stating my application was received. Receipt# EACXXXXXXXXX. Official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) to follow in mail.

Is now the time for me to go register at USCIS to follow my case online or do I wait until I receive something in the mail?

I see how everyone dates the day they received NOA1. What is that date based on... the day they get it in the mail or the day they got this text?

FYI- I did not receive anything via email nor snail mail yet.

You can go ahead and make your account at the USCIS website. Just don't be surprised if there are no results for your case status yet. Sometimes it takes awhile, or sometimes it never works. Don't be alarmed. :)

I go by the date that's on the NOA1. The receipt date.

Way to go, Happy. Welcome to the "Hurry up and Wait" Club. lol It should be a short wait, though. CSC (Cali Service Center) has been rocking lately. My Timeline estimate for NOA2 went from late August into mid-September to being dead-solid within the month of August (I'm an early April filer).
