Thanks. Actually, I don't know the exact date yet, as my attorney emailed me (today) that she'd received it. It's probably at home waiting in the mailbox.

My local office is Newark,NJ one person who filed in june and his local office Newark he got approval letter today im getting nervous !!! Im waiting on my GC 276 days already, what is going on there (( ???

Dont worry that much. When its the time, it will come. Not all cases are sent to local offices, from my understanding, some cases are sent to local offices for interview purpose, some are sent to help relieve VSC workload. so do not panic. everybody's case is different, we really dont know how USCIS works (i believe the real protocol of processing cases is different from what we think, should be more standarized and complicated). I called USCIS and they told me my case is still in VSC. so have to wait, no other choice.

I received my approval letter today, the approval date was 02/10/2012 and the letter was from my local office (Orlando).

I feel for those that are still waiting, I never thought my approval would come through but it has so hang in there people it is only around the corner.

I am only 4 weeks from filing my N400 so I will see some of you over on the March Citizenship filing board.

Good luck

EDIT- just to add, I called the USCIS twice this week to enquire the status of my application and twice was told that no update was available.... Both times this was after the date of my approval letter. Just goes to prove the information these guys have access to is always out of date.

Hey Toshka,

Don't worry....

It's just around the corner.

Look at it this way... That the approvals are trickling in every day1-2 ....so they are working on the May files.

There are 54 of us on this forum... The number may be 100s of people who filed in May that are not on VJ who are May filers or June Filers.

So if one or two are getting approval from this forum... Yours is going to come through... Just a matter of a few days, or few weeks more.... But it's going to come through.

So happy to share the good news... we also got approved. My lawyer informed us that she received a notice of approval on 1/30.

I've been waiting for the new green card in the mail since last week. How long does it usually take to come? Can't wait!
