Do you remember how long was the interview? They interviewed both of you together or separately? Can you remember more questions?

We had a joint interview. Once we got in the room, I'd say we were in there for about 20 minutes. I brought along a translator since my husband's english is still pretty basic and I wanted to avoid any miscommunications (I didn't think they'd let me translate anything). I did send a letter to the USCIS office asking if this was OK. They called me back and said it was fine.

At the interview, they swore everyone in and asked us general info - names, birthdays, address. After that, most of the questions were directed at me. How long we'd been married, where I worked, where my husband worked, then related questions about what hours we worked, who's job had health insurance, who leaves first, who gets home first. Then he asked about our house - what kind of house, how many bedrooms, bathrooms, where is our bedroom, who usually cooks dinner. Then he asked us where we spent the holidays (our interview was right after christmas), if we did anything at the house. While he was talking to me, he wrote everything down.

Then he asked us if we had anything else we wanted to add to our file (to which my response was "what do you want?", since I had 3 full binders of stuff). He checked our file to see what our RFE was for, and since it was for proof of communal residence, I gave him an affidavit from my mom saying we lived with her (I had previously only sent a letter - not notarized). He asked my husband a few questions, a few of the same ones and a few related questions about my family and that was it.

It was very informal and conversational the whole time, but I think that is part of the psychology of it all. I imagine it is the same as an AOS interview. None of the questions were too in-depth or intimate, just general day-to-day stuff.

So the oddest thing occurred last night... i received 2my txt msgs frim USCIS letting me know my status has been updated and got an email confirming that USPS have confirmed delivery of my GC. Which is all really good.. but... i got approved and received my GC over a month ago craziness! Lol

Hoping the rest of the May Filers get approved asap!!! My fingers and toes are crossed for yall!

Same here. I received two emails yesterday; one was for confirming that USPS delivered my card and the other one was for informing me that they mailed my card.

I guess they were updating the files.

Just like some people here, I just received a text and an email from uscis that my case was updated "Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production" when I received GC on 01/26/2012. Hope everyone gets their gc soon

Hi Chris, I saw your NOA is the same as mine, have you received anything from USCIS? I am still waiting, its really frustrating! People who filed in June already got approved, but ours are still pending. I called many times to USCIS and was always given the same answer that they are processing May 2nd cases and cannt open a SR for me. And they said it is individual basis, not first come first go. Really annoying.

I was told that USCIS processed cases on an individual case-by-case basis, not necessarily by time order. Lets hope all the May filers can get approved soon, hopefully by the end of this month

I don't understand why they don't tell us the truth. I called uscis several times and I felt that they don't know more information than us (online status), they don't have real time processing time, every time they had to check the processing time and always told me its may 2nd. So my gut feeling is that they don't have much more information in their system. But who knows.

i called them many time too but i got nothing new beside the info that i can get fr only. I get the same bs everytime " your case is still in the normal processing time. Plz allow another 15 days ............. "

p.s if VSC does not process files by receipt date then how they work ?????
