I don't think there is any relationship between your LPR approval date and your eligibility to apply for citizenship. Rather, only the 3 (or 5 if no longer married to sponser) years, minus 90 days, from the green card issue date (which is the date your conditional green card was issued). If the time window has arrived, technically ... I believe you may actually file for citizenship while the 751 is pending. I've read that this can actually speed up the 751 too ... as it would force adjudication of the 751 application.

EDIT: If I'm reading your signature correctly, your received your conditional card in 5/2009? (AOS completed ~ 5/2009). If so, 3 years from that date on your conditional green card, minus 90 days, is the day you are eligible to apply for naturalization. So ... February ... if I've done my math right (and am correct on the requirements).

I would, at a minimum, get everything prepared and ready to send in as soon as you are eligible.

My online case status shows initial review. Out of interest I called on Dec 29 and got the usual we are processing April 4 applications and I will be another 50+ days

Got the approval letter in the mail today! It was dated 01/09/2012. Now just waiting for the card.

I think I'm gonna get the citizen ship packet together now and just be done with this.

CA Application Center submission here... yes, there's a couple of us left!

I just called the USCIS, they said they can't submit a special status request because the system won't let them do it since it says that her application will take another 20 to 25 days based on normal timelines.

I explained that her processing time was way out of the normal range for the CSC but he said he can't do anything since the system won't let him enter the request.

We'll see and I will call back in a month.

October 5, 2006: We meet for the first time!

March 8, 2008: I-129F K1-Fiancee Visa Application mailed

October 27, 2008: K1 VISA RECEIVED !! (233 days - 7 MONTHS 19 DAYS)

January 17, 2009: Entry - POE: JFK w/EAD (315 days)

February 6, 2009: WEDDING! (335 days)

March 24, 2009: Sent AOS, EAD, AP package to Chicago Lock box (381 days - 1 YEAR 16 DAYS)

June 30, 2009: Interview in San Jose, CA (479 days) - NOT approved, Sworn statement required

AUGUST 14, 2009: GREEN CARD IN HAND (524 days - 1 YEAR 5 MONTHS 6 DAYS)
