I wanted to add some good news to the board. I think the VSC is beginning to work on May files. Our friend was staying with us while her husband was deployed and she applied for ROC through the VSC while she was with us. She has a NOA of 17MAY2011. Her bio was 05JUL2011 and she received the approval letter yesterday, 06SEP2011. No interview and no RFE.

I wish everyone luck. My wife and I will be doing ROC next summer.

That's because her husband is the army otherwise it would not be that quick, but thank you for the update.

Well... As augus28 said, normally, millitary involving cases gets special treatment and gets approved much faster than others so...

FYI, April VSC approval rate is still 3% (1/30)...

Hello all!

It has been quite a while and I thought I would keep everyone posted on my status as there may be someone else going through the same situation I am.

I originally sent my package in April and I had it sent back to me because I filed too early ( a month earlier to be precise).

So I waited another month and had the package sent back in on May 2nd which technically makes me a May filer but I like to think I'm an April filer anyways .

I received the letter with the biometrics appointment on May 22nd and had the biometrics done on June 13th.

Meanwhile, we bought a house and moved from our old address into our new home on the weekend of July 16th.

I updated my address at the USCIS website and am still waiting for my case to be approved.

My current case status on the website is "Under initial review" and my main concern is that they mistakenly have my gc sent to the old address or that it gets lost in the mail (I had this happen before with my son's first issued gc).

Well, guess this is all for now and I would like to please ask for my case status to be updated on the April's filers list.
