I know! It sure would be nice to have a valid green card (not just the expired card + extension document) to take with us when we leave the country at the end of the week. But it's ok, I'm sure the June filers cases are much more urgent, ha ha.

Mary and Enrique - I know! I travelled with my expired card and extension document earlier this month, and it was no problem, but the extension document is just a flimsy piece of paper and I was constantly terrified of losing it!

Also, I'd make sure you'd get to the airport in plenty of time; the lady at the desk had never seen an extension letter before, and between her having to fetch a supervisor and then double-checking it was okay I was probably delayed by about twenty minutes. I wasn't hassled in any way, though.

I'm a little concerned that whenever I enter either WAC number (both the one on the NOA1 and the one on my biometrics letter) that it comes up with 'case not found' at the USCIS website.

Gah - I'm having a sense of deja vu... When I filed my husband's visa petition back in '08 there were a whole bunch of us VJers whose apps sat languishing at VSC for months and months - after a certain point they got transferred to CSC and finally they were approved...What is it about VSC that makes it slower than CSC? They need to get their act together!!

Question concerning the "My Case Status Portfolio" on the USCIS website. The site lists the last update to our ROC CRI89 as 06/02/11, but our biometrics was 07/28/11 and we had to call twice to get the appointment information concerning the bio appointment. It seems most list the last update as sometime in relation to the bio appointment. Is this true? It seems our update is still set at possible the initial touch of the packet.

I got my bio done at the end of June and my last update was 06/07. It seems that I-751 applications are not the priority and they do not get updated like the other apps. That is the most logical explanation I can come up with....

Well if you happen to notice, the next step after Initial Review is Decision so since there is no decision yet...they are not required to update the status even you are done with Biometrics. Same here...

Hoping that May Filers starts getting approval in bulk soon. It's exactly 3 mos and 4 days since I submitted our application. Yay! :)

I sent my paperwork on 4/15 and got RFE'd (most CSC filers did too) on approx. 8/15....Received congratulations/approval letter today in the mail 8/29.

You guys should be getting approvals any day now

March 13, 2009 : NOA 1 received on I-485, I-130, I-765. Dated March 11th, 09
March 17, 2009 : Biometrics Letter recieved (Dated 13th March). Interview on 1st week of April
April 2, 2009 : Biometrics done. Total time taken with wait 20 mins.
April 22, 2009 : Called USCIS. They have received fingerprints and work permit is in process.
May 7, 2009 : I-765 case online. Card Production ordered.
May 11,2009 : EAD card received.
May 12,2009 : Applied for SSN.
May 18,2009 : Received SS card.
June 08,2009 : Received Letter for Interview ( scheduled on July 14 th July )
July 14th : Great Interview. All done in 20 mins.
July 18th: Online status - Card Production ordered. Thank God !! I-130 online status : Pending
July 23rd : Welcome to USA & I-130 approval letter recieved. Online status still shows pending.
