Adding my taken bio. At the USCIS I was told that I should receive my new card within 4 months. Do they tell this to everybody?

Hi Edina, no they didnt tell me that...but the lady who took my fingerprints told me that I will be back again to take another photo for my GC so dont worry about how I look in the photo she took!! i was like "what!? are you sure?!", she said yes, but I believe she is totally wrong! no such thing as taking a photo now and then having to come back for another freakin' photo later. :bonk:

I am not sure how much they could see about your case in their system because when I went there I kept looking at the screen and I did not see any more info than my receipt number and my other personal info, but I could recall when I did it for my AOS, the lady told me I would first get my working authorization then interview letter. I guess they know the process roughly and they could tell you the next step, but again it is just wierd that she said "you may have to come back for another picture", does not make sense.

I would not worry too much about what they say at the appointment, who knows they may or may not see everything on their screen.

E just had his biometrics at the Durham office and they didn't tell him he was going to have to come back, just for what that's worth. That is really weird to take a photo and then insist you'll have to come back for another. Keep us posted on how they follow up!

That's awful how long they were producing your biometrics letter. Especially considering some applicants got approved in the same time period.

Thats good news, I am now 2 months since my NOA and I still have not got a BIO appointment. Very frustrating !!!

Hey folks new guy to the board!

Sent my petition in on 4/27 to Vermont.

Receipt date for NOA1 5/3

Silence for over 2 months!!

Receipt date of biometrics is 7/14 scheduled for 8/10.

The past 2 years have flown by but this process is taking forever.

I have to get new Orleans for my biometrics which is about 3 hours away, are we talking an all day appointment at the office or is it simply finger prints photo and be on your way?

Sorry I couldn't put my info in the tidy format, I'm on an iPhone!

Definitely not an all day appointment. I was out of there in less than 15 min. This was a tiny ASC though (only one person in front of me), maybe with a larger one it could take a little bit longer - but you should only have to have fingerprints and a photo taken. Sucks you have such a long drive back and forth though.

Also if I were to get an RFE would that have been requested by now or does it come after bio?

I'm not expecting an RFE, we had a baby in October 2010!!
