Also a May Filer, was hoping to have filed a little earlier, however had to file taxes by mail instead of online so delayed me having the money to pay for it, sent it just in time in the end.

I thought this article may be useful, If I am reading this correctly once you get the approval letter for your Green Card you should be able to track its delivery.

USCIS Improves Delivery of Immigration Documents through Secure Mail Initiative

May 2, 2011

WASHINGTON—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has fully implemented the Secure Mail Initiative (SMI), which uses U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation to deliver certain immigration documents in a safe, secure and timely manner.

Made possible by a partnership between USCIS and the USPS, the SMI enables USCIS to confirm delivery of permanent resident cards and documents pertaining to travel and employment authorization. With USPS tracking information, USCIS customers can easily stay up-to-date on the delivery status of their documents and USCIS can confirm that these essential documents were delivered to the proper address.

SMI provides USCIS customers many benefits, including:

The ability to track the status of their documents with USPS tracking information

Quicker delivery—on average, documents sent through USPS Priority Mail should arrive two to four business days sooner than with first-class mail

Customers who receive notices of approval can contact USCIS’s Customer Service Center at 800-375-5283 to request tracking information for their documents. USCIS customer service representatives will provide customers with their USPS tracking number and current USPS delivery status.

Customers should wait at least two weeks after getting their approval notice before calling for information regarding their cases. When requesting tracking information, customers must also provide information from the receipt notice they received when they submitted their initial application. After receiving the tracking number from the USCIS Customer Service Center, customers can track the delivery status by visiting the Postal Service website at www.usps.comExit Disclaimer and entering the USPS tracking number into the Track & Confirm field.

SMI was one of several enhancements resulting from USCIS’s 2007 final fee schedule. USCIS first piloted the initiative in July 2008, delivering all re-entry permits and refugee travel documents using USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. USCIS has also used SMI processes since July 2009 for re-mailing all permanent residence cards, as well as employment authorization and travel documents returned by the USPS to USCIS as undeliverable.

I'm just about at going crazy with this... average time from sending off I-751 package to receiving NOA! is 3.8 days. We have been waiting 17 and I'm in danger of loosing my new driving job without the green card extension letter. Tried to call USCIS but they won't do anything until it has been 30 days since I sent off the original package. What can I do?

hey john....have they actually received your ROC packet? Did you get any tracking info for it?

i have been looking at previous threads, and looks like people are receiving their NOA's in the mail roughly 7-11 days (from VSC) with their actual NOA issue date being 2-4 days from being received.

im hoping mine comes tomorrow, that will make it 10 days for me :wacko: .... currently i see 4 people who sent in their ROC packets after you but have received their NOA.

Whats up with SWANTIGER ??? does anyone know? i wonder if they have got their NOA yet.....

11/15/16... I-130 packet received (Priority Date)

11/18/16... Checks cashed, received emails and text messages at 5:22pm, cases routed to Texas Service Center

02/22/17... NOA2 for Mom received (Notice Date 02/15/17)

02/28/17... NOA2 for Dad received (Notice Date 02/17/17)

03/01/17... Status online shows application sent to NVC 

03/17/17... Received emails from NVC for next steps!

03/21/17... Went online to Choose an Agent

03/28/17... Received emails from NVC confirming Agent selection and to proceed with the next step (paying fees!)

04/05/17... Paid the $120 Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee online today (Also eligible to pay the $325 Fee but will wait before doing so...)

April-August... Took a break from the process in order to move back from USVI to mainland USA.

08/07/17... Paid the IV Fees for both my parents ($325 each) today

08/23/17... Called NVC because payment still showing "In Process", was advised to email proof of payment to have them manually correct it

08/24/17... CEAC website shows "Paid" and can now have parents' DS-260 forms filled in.

Hey, everybody!

I got a quick question (I'll be filing my I751 in June). I've been reading that USCIS does NOT send reminders about ROC, but I just got a letter stating that I need to file soon for my I751.

Does everybody get it? Or, what's up with that? (I obviously don't mind it, was just curious if they decided to be a little more supportive?)

hi Oana, yes i got one too! actually they sent it to my old address (the address i had on the AOS paperwork). luckily it's my friends house and she called me up as soon as she found something from USCIS for me. I had also heard they were not going to remind us, but its good they sent it out.

hey john....have they actually received your ROC packet? Did you get any tracking info for it?

i have been looking at previous threads, and looks like people are receiving their NOA's in the mail roughly 7-11 days (from VSC) with their actual NOA issue date being 2-4 days from being received.

im hoping mine comes tomorrow, that will make it 10 days for me :wacko: .... currently i see 4 people who sent in their ROC packets after you but have received their NOA.

Whats up with SWANTIGER ??? does anyone know? i wonder if they have got their NOA yet.....

yes it was signed for on the 11th1
