Hello,

I spent 11 continuous months in the US from the second half of 2009 until may of 2010. I arrived there on J-1 and before it expired I filed for visitor's visa which was approved and granted me time until may of 2010.

Should I somehow try to obtain police certificate from the States as well as from my native country, Croatia?

I'm a K-1 beneficiary.

Thank you guys for your time, I hope you can shed some light on this one..

You need to obtain a police certificate for anywhere you have lived for 6 months or more. Good luck! :)

You do not need a police certificate from the USA. USCIS will order the criminal records check for the US, during the petition approval process.

Except from the USA.
