This is a little misleading answer, I think... the only place to get a PI passport (besides the PI) is in Los Angeles, CA. And it must be done in person.

Where there is a Philippine embassy or consulate, a Filipino citizen can always go there to apply for a passport. Most major cities has either a consulate or an embassy. Sorry for the confusion, but here's the website. :innocent:

Nine convenient locations within the US actually, and two outside the US for US territories. There is also outreach to many locations.

I checked the website - Seems like there is only 5 locations within the continetial United States.

1 in Hawaii

1 in Guam

1 in Saipan

I live in Texas, nothing close it a 24 hour car drive from Dallas to Los Angles or a 4 hour plane.

I didn't see any outreach location anywhere close to Dallas, Texas.

Doesn't the King of the Philippines have enough push to get an honorary consular appointed a little closer to home? :blink:

No, they only make room for Consulars from Mexico in our area :whistle::whistle:

1. National City, California on 30 April-1 May 2011;

2. Phoenix, Arizona on 21-22 May 2011; and,

3. Las Vegas, Nevada on 28-30 May 2011

Passport applicants are advised to plan their travel accordingly.

Applicants, who wish to renew their valid passports, may opt to have their passports extended for another two years.

Those without immediate travel plans are requested to defer their ePassport applications until the situation normalizes.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delays, especially to our overseas Filipino workers, but we would like to assure the public that we are exerting our best efforts to resolve the issues as soon as possible.

The Consulate wishes to appeal for patience and understanding on this matter.
