For the umpteenth time, Congress did so with false information. That they got from Bush and pals. I swear, if I hear this one more time.....

You keep telling yourself that. But when you're ready for the truth, just go back and do some research....especially world (and US politicians) opinions BEFORE GWB stepped foot in the white house. For example, how about Kerry writing to Pres Clinton when he was in office demanding we invade Iraq because they were a threat to nat'l security...oh, and he also said soemthing to the nature of 'if the world is against us, tfb'

Oh, I suppose that is GWBs puppetry too

Believe me, I am NOT some huge GWB supporter, but facts are facts. He's made a lot of mistakes, sure...but laying this at his feet alone is nothing but partisan, wag the dog bullsh!t which undermines people's intelligence imo. Selective recollection really doesn't do a person's argument much justice...

Well, ok. When I say "Bush" what I really mean is "Bush and everyone who supports him in Congress and in his administration."

Bush is just shorthand. I'm not a democrat, and I don't like Kerry much. I did vote for him, but only because it was a vote against Bush.

Alex,

Type2's question is, if a noble Mexican illegal immigrant whos family you stole vegetables from and who helped build your house.... killed your child... would you fantasize about killing him? :P

After his second post, I began to realize that that was in fact what he was asking.

Type2, if he killed my child, yes.

Does that answer your question?

I Guess. Still unclera. I mean. He built his house. And may be its Ok to kill, since you "stole his veggies".

Heh At least comprehending abilities of Gupt is Higher then yours. May be thats why his opinions are more grounded.

How do you reckon it's GWB? For the umpteenth time, CONGRESS gave him authority to go to war...without such authority, GWB couldn't have done jack sh!t.

http://archives.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/10/11/iraq.us/

The resolution requires Bush to declare to Congress either before or within 48 hours after beginning military action that diplomatic efforts to enforce the U.N. resolutions have failed.

Bush also must certify that action against Iraq would not hinder efforts to pursue the al Qaeda terrorist network that attacked New York and Washington last year. And it requires the administration to report to Congress on the progress of any war with Iraq every 60 days.

The measure passed the Senate and House by wider margins than the 1991 resolution that empowered the current president's father to go to war to expel Iraq from Kuwait. That measure passed 250-183 in the House and 52-47 in the Senate.

The Bush administration and its supporters in Congress say Saddam has kept a stockpile of chemical and biological weapons in violation of U.N. resolutions and has continued efforts to develop nuclear weapons. Bush also has argued that Iraq could give chemical or biological weapons to terrorists.

Iraq has denied having weapons of mass destruction and has offered to allow U.N. weapons inspectors to return for the first time since 1998. Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Tawab Al-Mulah Huwaish called the allegations "lies" Thursday and offered to let U.S. officials inspect plants they say are developing nuclear, biological and chemical weapons.

"If the American administration is interested in inspecting these sites, then they're welcome to come over and have a look for themselves," he said.

I would humbly suggest it didnt give him carte blanche to go to WAR !!

He didnt wait till all UN inspectors had exhausted all their efforts - they infact urged him to let them continue.

and quite honestly by invading Iraq (nothing to do with 9/11) he weakened efforts in Afghanistan (linked to9/11) and specifically did what they had voted he must not do "Bush also must certify that action against Iraq would not hinder efforts to pursue the al Qaeda terrorist network that attacked New York and Washington last year."

no WMD ever existed, one day we may find out if all involved really knew that, but if you say No i aint got em and the cry is always liar liar in effect you can always invade anywhere on any pretext kinda scary really

The right-wingers who think nothing but the worst of Cindy Sheehan probably won't change their minds after reading Peace Mom. In the book, which hits bookstores September 19, the antiwar icon admits she has fantasized about going back in time and killing the infant George W. Bush, thereby preventing the Iraq War.

Maybe somebody should punch the ###### out of her. Her face just seriously irritates me..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Is it really a question of fate? Where does reality and fantasy mesh together? Does the subject matter being discussed sell books or grab attention for the author? US and foreign interests were already present in the Mideast long before he was in office.

Baghdad Cindy, she just does'nt have the same effect as Hanoi Jane. Attention starved morons.

I don't think the draft is in affect in this particular war like in the Vietnam war. No 18 year old civilian kids who didn't sign up for war in this war.

And you are old enough to remember Vietnam?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

No but my ex husband was a product of that war and lived in the last stages and the remnants of it. Why?
