Hey everyone, I am Jess from Christchurch, NZ and my USC fiance is Ben. We met online (in a game!) a few years ago, and after being friends for a while we started dating in 2009. We decided to meet in person so I went to Iowa where he lives in June last year for a couple of weeks and it went really well! I just wish I could have stayed longer.

Then Ben came here to NZ for Christmas and we got engaged just before he flew back home.

We sent in our petition for the K1 (& K2 for my daughter) visa a couple of weeks ago, so I guess the waiting game starts now :)

Just thought I'd say hi since I may post here if I have any questions later. I've found this place wonderful so far, did a lot of reading before sending everything away - it has helped me heaps already! :D

Hi Jess!

Welcome to VJ and to your own immigration journey! You will find that this website is a really great community of support for people undergoing a visa process. Make sure to befriend other members with beneficiaries from New Zealand since you will find more consulate-specific advice from these members.

Best wishes! (F)
