I just got an RFE because the passport style photo was done from my moms camera against a white wall

Live and learn lol

The RFE was for my picture..

It says submit a passport style photo for the petitioner.. It doesn't say how many

What is confusing on the RFE it's page 2 on white paper.

Request for Evidence-Form I-130

# each petition must have own supporting documents etc..

# The decisions to approve or deny ...etc.

# All foreign langauge documents must be submitted with translation, certified etc..

Then There is a bold line and underneath is :

PHOTOS:

The photo submitted is not sufficient for immigration purposes.. Submit a passport style photo of the petitioner (Myself)

What is confusing is the infor above the bold line.. I assume this is something they write on all RFE's??

Yes...there should be a checkmark or X next to each thing you need. Make sure to go somewhere for the photo. You need photos for petitioner and beneficary

This why i'm confused

There was no marks except above the bold line, yet nothing is requested until under the bold line.

Request for Evidence Form I-130

* Each petition must have its own set of supporting documents in the event multiple petitions become separated. Also each response to USCIS request must be accompanied with it's blue I-797

* The decision where the to approve or deny the petition will be based upon the type of evidence submitted

* All foreign language documents must be submitted with complete English translations. The translator must certify the translation is complete and accurate and thathe or she is able to translate. Do not submit english translation without foreign language

PHOTOS: The photograph submitted is not sufficient for immigration purposes. Submit a passport style photograpgh for the petitioner. The specifications are as follows

: 2x2 inches

: Glossy color

: plain white background

etc

etc

etc

this is all it says on white page

My question is to be only concerned with whats listed under the bold line??

yes only what is below the line. ours had the first and last statement on it. The middle statement was not on our RFE. On the blue page it should give you a date that you have to submit the evidence by too.

ours said "Please respond to the items checked below:"

and then it listed what we needed...that was all that was below the line.

Thx so much I was worried about the translation.. I looked at the copies here and those were done very well..I sent Apostille lol what a waste of money but live and learn..

Date is May 25th..of return notice.

I will take pictures tomorrow and send priority mail. They should have Tuesday.. I wonder how long a delay this will be??

It didnt delay ours much, but I did have an expedite in on the case...that is how I knew I had an RFE. The sooner you get the evidence back, the sooner it will be approved. At least that shows they were looking at your case.

Lol never be in a rush like I was. I came home from Georgia day before Thanksgiving.. I started assembling the I-130 and finished on Thanksgiving.. I wanted to mail Friday early so when I saw passport style photos I made 2 x2 and all the other goodies. I had my mom take the picture against a white wall lol..

the good thing is This RFE was very minor or easy to fix..

It's a relief and just to think If not for the RFE I would have got my NOA2..

What surprising is USCIS doesn't upate anything on their site when I log into my account.. This RFE threw me for a loop when I got in the mail..
