Can US citizen go into the consulate?

Timeline

My husband is going to have his appointment at the Consulate in ciudad Juarez Mexico. Can I (his wife) go into the consulate with him when he has his interview or do I have to wait outside the consulate.

May 2005- Met my husband

June 2005- Became a couple

September 2006- 1st son born

July 2007- 2nd son born

June 2010- Married

September 2010-Hired our Lawyer

October 15th 2010- Petition Sent in

December 2010- 1st daughter born

February 7th 2011- Petition Approved

August 3rd 2011- recieved our appointment

September 1st 2011- 1st appointment- denied, but approved for a waiver

November 14th 2011- 2nd appointment, turned in waiver

_ _ _ _ _ - Visa Approved (still waiting as of February 18th 2012)

hi there congrats on your journey from all i have read on this site and every where else i think your hubby is gonna be a loner on this one..he is the only one to be let in or any other applicant on it also states in mexico consulate up above with all the things you should haveand the new ways there doing thins in juarez...good luck on your journey and if they do let you in let us know dont forget to update your timeline and write a review for the rest of us that follow ur steps soon... :thumbs: buena suerte

the website embassy in ciudad juarez mexico,says NO fiane'e or spouse attend the interview,if your spouse is ther with you take his us passport in side with you tell the officer that your husband is just outside the door would you like to talk to him,or he mite look at the passport stamps how many time he visited you. give it a try. good luck.

They won't let you in but there are a lot of areas to wait outside nearby. Also stores and restaurants... Starbucks, Oxxo, Dennys. The consulate doesn't need to know you're there, many spouses and fiances do not go to Juarez and that's okay too. He may be inside for an hour or it may be many hours so make arrangements to go back to the hotel if you need to. He also won't be able to bring anything into the consulate, including his cell phone so don't get lost in the stores :)

Receive Packet 3 in U.S.- March 21, 2011

ASC Appointment- March 23, 2011

Interview- March 24, 2011

Crossed into the U.S.- April 7, 2011

A.O.S.

I-485 in the mail- June 14, 2011

I-485 received at Chicago Lockbox- June 16, 2011

NOA1- June 17, 2011
