Oh my god!!! i was ready to hear the usual "we have no record of your case" this morning when i called NVC but i was in shock when the recording said my case was received on Sep. 6, 06 and gave me a case number (finally after 15 days of waiting)...thank GOd!!!, it also says that "please allow us 4 to 6 weeks for the beneficiary to receive notification", well i guess my MOm will be so happy to hear this, i hope they don't take that long, i would love to have my Mom here before the holidays. Should start gathering all the documentation required for the I-864?..Any advice?

Congratulations on your case number. It will be another 2 weeks before NVC will generate DS 3032 (choice of agent) and AOS Fee Bill ($70.00). You can start gathering I-864 packet, DS 230 packet, etc. Please read the NVC shortcut for details. You can take care of the choice of agent by emailing NVC, but please have the beneficiary email NVC only after DS 3032 form (Choice of Agent) is generated.

Thanks for your advice, i did emailed NVC yesterday and still waiting for a response BUT great news i was able to get my case via phone, i will follow your instructions. Do you think this whole processing in the NVC will take another 2 or 3 mos?, just to have an idea, you have no idea how crazy my Mom drives me when she asks if she'd be here by Christmas. Thanks again for giving me directions!!

I see, you are doing it for your mom. NVC will reply your email with your case number. My NVC process was total 78 days, from assigning the case number to complete the case and 85 days from assigning the case number to get the case forwarded to the Embassy.

Hi!!! Congrats!!!

I see in your NVC process that you changed the benificiary address and consulate... Where did u change it from and how difficult was it? My parents are from Ecuador but they live in Mexico since early this year due to my dad's job and NVC is almost done approving their case but there is a possibility that they might go back to Quito. I also know that Consulate interview times in Ciudad Juarez Mexico have a long waiting period.

Please let me know

Thanks
