U r Correct Dude....Also, they hav Presedential Elections in November of this Year. So they must be engaged in Campaigning and other activities. One thg Obama has done for Immigration is that in this year he passed Bill for Amnesty for Chlidren who were brought Illegal by their parents when they were young and lived for years.....

There is no chance to pass another Bill right now by senate....atleast till November or by next year...

I do agree with Lowdoff as it is a sounding alarm for us...but for any Immigration Bill to pass US Congress is difficult...There r lots of obstacles on way for any Immigration Bill...They just discuss and then the result is the Bill is sidelined by lots of Discussion and arguements....

Obama didn't grant amnesty to anyone. The legislation that was passed allows for TEMPORARY legal status to a select number of people that MEET CERTAIN QUALIFICATIONS. Unless they become LPRs, once these persons reach 30 years old, they are back to square 1 - an illegal alien hiding from ICE.

i am a derivative beneficiary,so yes it is possible.

You should be fine.

Have a look at this:

Look at the section: "How to Qualify for CSPA "

If this bill is approved and signed, majority of us are screwed for minimum 2-4 more years.

Removing the country cap on Employment-Visa, means 15% rule would apply to all F categories instead of current family and employment.

Out of 226'000 annual family visas and 15%/country, => 33'900 visa per country (then you add the derivate visas too)

so IF we only take only 4 countries with high visa applications as example, (4*33900=135'600)

this mean 90'400 visa left for rest of us.

I can only see mainly specific countries columns moving forward few years.

Rest of us in ROW columns, will be cursing for years to come.

I do expect that the additional columns will be added in the future VBs.

Look at http://www.travel.state.gov/pdf/WaitingListItem.pdf and the so called waiting list per country. We have 14 countries representing 80% of all application.

Then you will realise we are in for one heavy punch in our sensitive area.

Retrogression and soon this bill.

And my prediction for September VB is 0-1 week movement.
